Remarks

The students wishing to join SCMHRD, Pune have to write the SNAP test that is held every year in Dec-Jan. And simultaneously applying for the college. Then if getting a call, candidates have to appear for Group discussions, Personal interviews, and Written ability tests. The college provides caste-based reservations and also has reserved seats for foreign students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose to pursue an MBA in HR due to the plethora of learning opportunities it provides. The faculties available at SCMHRD are well qualified and the college has one of the best teaching methodologies. Term examinations were held in the later half of the semester keeping in mind other activities students take part in. The management is considerate and supports the student community wholeheartedly.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Several companies came for summer internship placements. Companies like ITC, Flipkart, Honeywell, BYJUs came for SIPs. The roles offered were majorly related to corporate HR, Consulting, and General HR. The stipend offered was averaged at Rs. 1 lac per month.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for placements during their third semester. Usually, the process kicks in the later half of the semester. The students get placed with an average package of around 18 Lacs and the highest offer last year was around Rs 32 Lacs. All students got placed last year. Major companies like ITC, Flipkart, Wipro come for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a considerable increase in the fees charged for the course in the last five years. Financial assistance is available for some in form of scholarships. The placements provided by the college for summer internships and full-time jobs are at par with top private B-Schools across the country. An average annual package of around 18 Lacs is at par with the fees charged.

Campus Life

4

NEEV, the annual fest of SCMHRD is organized every year and is the third-largest B-School festival. Several committees are present with various domains. Students get an opportunity to have a real-life experience with several management-based activities including extracurricular and sports. The college website is scmhrd.edu that is managed by the student clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels provided are on a triple-sharing basis with an attached washroom. The meal quality is satisfactory. The registration process takes place before the start of the semesters. The college is fully residential and opting for a hostel is mandatory.

Interview Experience

4.5

The topics of Group discussions were focused on current issues including climate change, media, and government policies, and also included situational discussions around management problems. The process includes a written SNAP test followed by a GDPIWAT process. Interviews are easy if you are prepared with general questions.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
