Remarks

Some cutoff percentage or exam should be there. Offering admissions to all degrades the quality of education. Scholarships should also be given to deserving students. Everything is fine but cutoff should be there

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty was highly qualified, teaching methods were good using projector and board both. Notes were also given, Term exams were there from time to time .quizzes, open-book tests, mid-semester exams were there. The quality of the papers was quite good

Internships Opportunities

Students have to arrange internships on their own. No such internships were offered by companies themselves. most of the students joined govt agencies for internships. No stipend was offered as such. Govt projects were there in internships

7 th semester onwards students were eligible for placements. Companies like lnt, afcons, lafarge etc visited there. A number of offers were made to the students. Highest package was 6 lakh per annum and average was 3 lakh per annum. Profile offered was graduate trainee engineer. 25 percent were placed. I started preparing for govt job after degree

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no standard fee hike policy, yet fees increase for new batches every year. The university is costly. I didn't get any scholarships or financial assist there. However, scholarships were there for the topper of the year students

Campus Life

Annual Tech fest is conducted from time to time, no fixed month. A number of books were available in the library. Classrooms were fully air-conditioned. Sports gym activities are available A number of groups were run by students

Hostel Facilities

Facilities like ved, table, chair were there, common rooms were also there. Meal quality was average and the menu was decided by the mess commitee every month. Hostels were easily available and one should prefer a hostel instead of a PG there

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I applied for BML Munjal University before Chitkara university, Baddi. I got a confirmed admission from many colleges like BML munjal university, GNA university, Chandigarh university, etc. I chose this college over other because it was not too costly and crowd is less compared to other private universities. I was not rejected by any colleges which i applied. For admission you have to fill registration form after that you have to attend the councelling.
