Entrance Preview

I had completed M.Tech from IIT Roorkee. Now, I wanted to take admission in Ph.D. for Ph.D. admission, every reputed college (generally) had eligibility criteria M.Tech and gate qualified. And they use to conduct a self-written exam followed by an interview. My GATE score was 546 and rank was 2995 in Gate 2015. I applied in IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur and MNNIT Allahabad.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, I am getting stipend through MHRD scheme (25000 per month + HRA). Hostellers did not get HRA but who want to live outside campus can claim HRA maximum Rs 5000 per month. Every month Stipend comes in account till the 5th date of next month.

Placement Experience

Placement of B.Tech and M.tech courses students are quite good, because they are heir by IT companies. but Ph.D. placements varies time to time. Here, colleges (colleges from North India) come for placements and according to your skills and background education, and paper published, they offer packages. Average Ph.D. students get offer for 50000 per month.

College Events

In order to provide the over all exposure to the students. MNNIT use organised two big festivels (Avishkar and culrav). Aviskar is a technical fest which use to celebrate in september-october month. And, Culrav is a cultural fest which use to celebrate in march-april month. Both festivel mainly managed by the students of MNNIT.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Because it is a national institute. So it easily gets good funds from the centre government. Its fee is very feasible, for day scholar students around 10000 per semester and for hosteller students it is around 13000 per semester. and mess fee is 16000 per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

MHRD and Diety scholarship Schemes are available in the institute for research scholar students. I do not know much about the loan but I am sure one should get easily get a loan on the Institute name.

Exam Structure

For course work, to pass any subject, one have to give mid semester exam and end semester exam which does 20 and 60 marks respectively. And remaining 20 marks are assigned to subject teacher which he provides on the basis on of attendance, class performance and tutorial submitted.

I completed My bachelor's as well as masters from the same college, I remember I got a package of 24 LPA when I sat for campus placement after BTech but I continued to do master's instead of getting a job two years later when I completed my MTech, WIPRO offered my 50 LPA as a Junior Executive in Bangalore branch, but I still discarded that and decided to do PhD in the same subject, this is my last year and I am hoping it will be completed by this year, then I will apply to be a lecturer at any IIT then only my childhood dream of being a teacher will come true.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually, I get through the counseling process of gate examination at that time i get only this college then after getting this college. I got happy because it comes under top university of India in doctrate. The student faculty Ratio is 15:2 . Well educated and all faculties are above phd degree having worked in research university. It's easy to pass the examination but it difficult to write research papers. You should have good knowledge to get good marks in research

Large and greenish campus. Pollution-free environment. A positive vibe is there on the campus, with well-equipped classes and labs in the campus. Overall facilities are good on the campus and little improvement is required in terms of policies.

Remarks:

If I have to rate my college then I will give 9 out of 10. I deducted one star because of issie i.e hostel single seat to students. Otherwise college provide everything to students at their places. I love my college.

Remarks:

Campus is very good, greenery everywhere. Location of institute is near ganga river, just 1 km away from campus. there is health centre facility and BHU hospital. I have one regret, i.e hostel and mess facility. Institute management should pay more attention on infrastructure and better facility as per IITs standard.

Applied to almost all older IITs and a few NITs like Trichy, warangal and Surathkal. I kept this college as the 4th NIT among my list. Got this college, was initially dissatisfied because of its NIRF ranking, but MNNIT is altogether a different world. The talent pool this college has is of different level. Be it technical activities, coding culture and what not. So I got to know why this college is Rank1 amongst all NITs in terms of placements. I got admission in Information Technology branch. Currently this branch is discontinued in the college due to its extreme similarities with the CSE branch. I got some good faculties but a really good peer group. I choose this college only for the reason of good placements and I was not disappointed. You should have a rough rank of about 3000-4000 in JEE Mains to crack CSE in this college which will be a good platform to get great opportunities.
