Course Curriculum Overview
As there is a boom in electronic industry that's why I chose this course. Also I have an interest in the electronic equipments and their working. The curriculum is designed in a way to witness all real life applications so that concepts can be learnes smoothly. Frequency of exams is two exams per semester. Between exams labs and practical are conducted. So there is a difficulty in managing exams and all.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like google, Microsoft, amazon usually come in the campus for intenships. They hire students and train them to make them job ready and give them stipend. Usually tech oriented internships are provided rather than core companies.
Placement Experience
In Bachelor of Technology course, total eligible candidates were 838 and the offer count was 968. The average CTC was 19.48 lakhs and the highest CTC was 71 lakhs which is very good in my point of view. The percentage placement was around 91%. My plan after getting degree is to continue higher studies like M. Tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
So I am a general candidate. I paid 98500 in the first semester. In the upcoming 7 semesters, I will be paying 93500 in each semester. (As 5000 rupees are taken as caution money in first semester which includes ?2000 as Institute caution fee, ?2000 as hostel caution fee and ?1000 as library caution fee). The distribution of ?93500 per semester is: ?12000 hostel fee, ?10000 institute fee, ?9000 user charges, ?62500 tuition fee. Now coming to candidates having family income between 1-5 lakhs, they have to pay ?56833 in first semester in which 5000 is caution money, and in subsequent semesters they have to pay 51833. The distribution of their fee is ?12000 hostel fee, ?10000 institute fee, ?9000 user charges and 20833 tuition fee. Now coming to the candidates having family income less than 1 lakh and SC/ST/PWD students. They have to pay ?36000 in the first semester that includes caution money i.e. ?5000 and they have to pay ?31000 in subsequent semesters. Their fee distribution is: ?12000 hostel fee, ?10000 institute fee, ?9000 user charges and they don't have to pay tuition fee at all. Currently I am unaware of the scholarships provided since I am ineligible for most of the scholarships as my parents are government servant.
Campus Life
There are two fests one cultural and other technical namely Culrav and Avishkar respectively. They both are organised in second/third week of November. The library consists of huge number of book related to every subject. Classrooms are air conditioned, property ventilated, including chalk board and smart boards.
Admission
I applied for colleges like Nit K, Nit trichy, Nit warangal. I was also getting lower branches like civil in newer IITs. But since there is a boom in electronic industry in upcoming years and Nit allahabad being premier institute was closer to my home as compared to other colleges. Hence I chose this college. The college admits students on the basis of their jee mains rank. About 32000 is the closing rank for all branches for a general candidate.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is very good her. For every 15 students there is a teacher. Faculties are very helpful and easily approachable. I like every faculty as all are affluent and highly experienced in their subjects. There are 2 exams per semester namely mid sem and end sem. They are of moderate difficulty including some easy and hard questions. Very less students fail to clear exams as all students come to this prestigious institute by clearing one of the toughest exams in India. The course is very relevant and focuses on making students retain the concepts and making them job ready.
Night Life
Gym usually runs around 9 pm. Library opens till 12 pn during exams. Hostel entry closes at 10.30 pm. Famous places to hangout near MNNIT are holy sangam, azad maidan, pvr cinema hall, anand bhawan, planetarium and many more.
