BHU PMT. I wanted to pursue medicine and BHU is a central government university of international repute.

Curriculum is according to MCI norms. The best part of IMS-BHU is that there was no time-lag during the course. I mean the syllabus is covered and examinations are taken timely. Yes. IMS-BHU provides internship to its cadudates as internship is a must after medical undergraduation. Since the Sir sunderlal hospital attached to the college caters to a wide variety of patients and is a fully-equipped tertiary care centre, it serves the purpose of internship to undergraduates very well. Students enjoy their learning period with a very supportive environment. Stipend us approx 13k per month during internship.

All of my colleagues, seniors are placed at very good hospitals all over the country including some well known corporate hospitals in metro cities like Max, Apollo, Sir Gangaram etc. . Packages vary according to specialization and city of work, but roughly to say mist of the IMS-BHU Postgraduates get more than 10-12 lakha per annum.

There are many cultural and sports events being organised in University premises. To mention sone of these, there is Spandan, a inter faculty annual festival of Banaras Hindu University. Then there is annual inter faculty sports-meet. Then the mefical college itself organises its annual cultural festival by the name of Elixir along with its own sports meet. These festivals see regular turn-out of celebrities and students from other colleges/universities.

Since this a central government university Fee structure is very much feasible, much much less as compared to other colleges. I graduated between 2006-2010, then the annual fee was nearly nine thousands rupees only. Then, add to it roughly two thousands per month for mess expenses. That's it.

Loan facilities are available from banks similar to other courses and colleges . Usually loans are not of much reqirement since the fees are very much affordable even for low income groups also.

Campus life is very good in Banaras Hindu University since this is an unique university established at the bank of Holy Ganges which accommodates nearly 30000 students within its campus. Separate hostels fir boys and girls . Many beautiful places in the campus to hang out. Campus includes 6 bank-branches and as many ATMs. Students from all over the country and also many foreign students study here in a very good and healthy environment. University has its own proctorial system for security.

Every student if Banaras Hindu University gets a seat in its hostel. In first and second year of MBBS, you have to share with one. After that you will get single seated rooms till your stay in the university. Rentals are included in the Fee itself, no extra charges to pay. Hostels are good for accommodation and also provide good facility for indoor and outdoor sports also. Every hostel has common rooms, canteen and mess attached to it. Mess good is good with provision of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items.

Seniors and alumni in this college are very much supportive . There is no place for ragging or any such nuisance in the University premises .

Exams are exhaustive and very frequent as the syllabus demands. Exams are on regular basis, timely and keep the students well-connected to the syllabus. Labs are well-equipped and work in perfect conditions and most importantly they are student-friendly

Filled the form available through the bank. Cracked the PMT examination. Joined BHU in 2006, completed my undergraduation and post-graduation in medicine. Acedemics is very good with renowned teachers including some of international repute. Administration was good and supportive.

Faculty is highly qualified and holding much experience and repute in national and international publishing. Faculty of Medicine is particularly rich in this regard and teachers are enthusiastic regarding the academics. Clinical teaching is of very good standard as there is a tertiary care hospital attached to the mefical college in university premises itself.
