Entrance Preview

I passed through diploma in Mech engg and was admitted to direct second year through CAP conducted by DTE,Maharashtra.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course structure is bit tough but relates to the practical concepts and we have good faculty to clear the concepts. Knowledge oriented atmosphere is generated within the campus. Along side we have term work and workshops to perform with regular lectures.

Internships Opportunities

As per my knowledge college doesn't offer any internship or any kind of stipend to the students in our department. Maybe they are offering to master students pursuing master's degree.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is pretty good but the qualification bar drops 95% of the students before applying for aptitude and further process. The percentage of students getting placed in campus drive is not up to bar as compared with off-campus selection. Meanwhile there are some certification courses carried in the campus by Siemens and Redhat.

College Events

3.5

Culture festival is organized along with technical events carried out by each department as Mechotsav, Kalavihangam, etc. During the event you can't bunk your lectures and practicals, so this is were it disappoints many students as everyone wants enjoy the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its quite expensive as development and infrastructure charges sucks, they do hike these costs without any further increase in your scholarships. Combining both hostel and college fees it can burn a hole around 1.2-1.4 lacs per year. So if you comes under Open category then its pretty much expensive.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratios is around 3 girls per 10 boys, and it varies according to departments as these ratio gets reverse while coming to computer or IT department. We have some students council as MESA for our Mechanical department, which highlights the issues faced by the respective students of the department.

Exam Structure

We have 80/20 pattern as 80 marks for final examination and 20 marks for internal class tests carried out by the faculty of college. Final exam are conducted by university and external viva sessions are also conducted just before the exams. Alongside this you have some online tests as well.

Admission

Admission process was carried out by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai, Maharashtra. After the result were declared on 21st may the forms were procured on 13th of July. The whole process took a month to complete and college was started in second week of August.

Faculty

4

Faculty is highly qualified but most of senior faculty either gets transferred to other branch or college which affects the learning of students. Nowadays new faculty is appointed which are more arrogant than the way they treat the students. Overall its sweet bitter experience about the faculty explicating few of them.
