Remarks
My university, which is one of the top ranked in the NIRF ranking, probably doesn't need an introduction. My main motivation for picking this university was not only because of its outstanding reputation but also because I was able to select my field of expertise from a wide range of programmes available at a reasonable cost. They wanted a CAT or BHU PET score, a bachelor's degree (minimum eligible score 50%), PI, and GD for the course selection process. I would advise applicants to visit BHU's official website to learn more about the infrastructure, as I did.
Course Curriculum Overview
In this full-time two-year study, we had four semesters. As part of my core curriculum, I studied statistics for decision making, finance, and operations management, and as part of my elective courses, I studied financial inclusion, behavioural finance, and corporate financial decisions. Students' grades were determined by the amount of credit they earned, which may be acquired through a variety of ways such as lectures, tutorials, practical work, project work, industrial visits, and report writing. This course appealed to me because the subject content looked to be highly relevant to my job goals. The core faculty members as well as the visiting faculty members provided us with advice and support.
Internships Opportunities
The students' internships can be approached by the students on their end and the Institute's end. The companies that offer internship opportunities to the institute's students are IDBI Federal, IDBI Capital, RBI, UCO Bank, Outlook, Pramerica, and many more. All these companies offer various finance, marketing, HR, and operations profiles to the students.
Placement Experience
ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank, SBI, IDBI Bank, Reliance, Mother Dairy, DHL, and Infosys were among the top recruiters in our final placement. Risk Analysts, Business Analysts, Consultants, Investment Bankers, Sales and Marketing experts, and Operations Managers were among the job roles available in the final placement programme. The recruiters provided the maximum CTC of Rs.16 LPA. I did not engage in the placement recruitment programme since I planned to get a Ph.D. and become a teacher.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees were spent in two instalments, totalling Rs. 30767. We were offered merit-based and unique scholarship opportunities, but I did not apply for any of them. We received industry training from Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, HDFC Asset Management Company, Bank of India, HAL, HDFC Bank IOCL, IFFCO, and many other famous market companies. Both the summer internship opportunity and the ultimate placement for the full-time opportunity are available through the campus recruitment drive.
Campus Life
We were given access to a central library and a departmental library to help us with our learning. We were drawn to the swimming pool, sports complex, and individual sports complex because they revived us after a long day of studying. The FMS Media Club, Sports Club, and Students Club were among the social clubs founded for the student body. I was an active member of the cultural club, helping to organise cultural festivals and competitions.
