GOOD OPTION FOR BBA LLB

The admission process was simple. Submit the form, pay the fees and you are then a student of Chandigarh University. Though there is a merit list that's nominal anyone who can pay the fee is admitted to this university.

I chose this course because I wanted to be a corporate lawyer and failed to score high in CLAT so. The faculty here is very well experienced and helpful to the students. They teach with good examples and real-life experiences. Exams are very strictly punctual as mentioned in the calendar. Passing the exams requires average effort. Some exams may seem tough but overall they all are average. Results are declared within one or sometimes two months.

Internships are offered under senior lawyers and legal advisor groups. Most of the internships are paid and are very important for a student as an internship teaches the basic aspects required for the profession.

The students become eligible for campus placement in the last two semesters. The placement cell of my university is very good. The highest package reaches up to 13-15 lakhs while the average is about 3.5-6 lakhs. The main role for which the students are employed is junior legal advisor. Most of the students get placements. I plan to pursue my own litigation career in the High court.

This is a good private college so it's obvious that it is expensive and the fee is hiked with prior notice. The cost to study in this university in my course is around 2.5-2.75 lakh per year. There was no financial assistance to me and there are paid internships available to students above 2nd year.

There are many groups run by students, the drama society, the music society, the legal awareness society are few to mention. The students here are very creative and joyful. Students are also motivated to become part of these groups and newcomers are welcomed in these groups.

The hostel is a little bit expensive but is with it. There is good food and good facilities in the hostel including wifi, air conditioning, purified water and a good variety of tasty food. Hostel registration can be done at the time of admission or anytime at the office. The students here in the hostel are very friendly.
