Entrance Preview

I took MHCET. I scored 131/200 in that. I chose this college for many reasons like good campus, autonomy, placements, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Taking about the course, the subjects are taught well but the students should be given more practical and latest technical knowledge. Only theoretical knowledge is not sufficient if you want to get good marks, want to do a further masters studies or want to get placed.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Our college has a seperate internship cell for the students. We get lots of emails about different internships, either long term or short term.

Placement Experience

4

We have a seperate placement cell for BE students. Lots of companies come for the recruitment process. But most of the companies are IT companies. Infosys and Accenture are the mass recruiters. You can get placed not more than 2 companies. Once you get placed in a core or a dream company (package above 5 lacks pa), you cannot apply the next companies.

College Events

3.5

Mainly there are two important festivals in each academic year. The technical fest, Abhiyantriki and the cultural fest, Symphony. Abhiyantriki is during the odd semesters and Symphony is during the even semesters. Also, there are are other festivals and events like MakerMela, Skrem(sports), Shield(sports). Also, we celebrate different days like tie and saree day, gang day, black and white day, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The general fees are little bit expensive than that of the other colleges. This time the fee was around ₹1.75 lakhs for the academic year. The fee is increased by 8% every next year. The fee structure is different for obc, sc, st, tfws, jk, NRI students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The college gives scholarship to Gujrati minority students, around ₹25k. Besides that there are many companies like TATA who give scholarships to the students, who really needs that and are good in academics. Also, we have a supportive cell for the needy students.

Exam Structure

The college is autonomous. So the whole syllabus and exam structure is decided by the college. For every subject, there is a theory examination, mostly out of 100. You have to get at least 30 marks to get passed. This marks are scaled down to 60. There are two unit tests, each of 30 marks. The average of unit test 1 and 2 (CA) + IA( eg open book test, online test, MCQ test, etc.) makes 40 total.

Faculty

3.5

The teachers as well as the non teaching staff are good. The subjects are taught well. The teachers are supportive. You can ask them queries or questions whenever you want. They are always happy to solve those queries to answer the questions. They know who's good and they give the viva marks accordingly.

Remarks:

he placements were pretty well. There were many students who were placed in MNCs. Most of the companies were IT based companies. Amongst all, only 1 core electronics company came to our college for recruitments. The highest package was around 4 LAP. Our college also provides opportunities for other off-campus drives which took place nearer to Solapur. The companies that came to the campus were mainly MNCs providing an average package of 2.5 LPA which is pretty well for a fresher graduated from a non-government college
