Remarks
The admission process starts from wbjee exam. You have to appear in that exam and have to qualify for that exam to get a good college in Bengal. There are no such criteria as minimum marks just you have to score a good mark and a decent rank. Then you have to go through the counseling process and seat allotment and documents verification and if the selected seat is allotted then you can book your seat and then finally you can go to the desired college physically for further formalities and fees submission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because I like the scopes in this field. The faculty members and students ratio are also good. All students get proper guidance from the teachers. Teachers are well qualified and have good knowledge of subjects. The teaching quality of some teachers are very whereas some teachers are not so good. Semester exams are also not so difficult and happen at end of the semester. It is moderate and can pass easily if anyone will study well and the pass percentage is almost 90% and you can also pass by studying one night before.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided by the college as well as you can find your own also. Many companies offer internships in the fifth semester only like Infosys capparis Johnson control etc. Internships with stipends are rare. Many companies provide stipends for internships. Roles offered under these internships are to design or to work on some projects of the company.
Placement Experience
The placements in the college are well good. Almost 80% of the students are placed every year. From the sixth semester, students are eligible for the placements. The lowest package starts from 3.5 lakhs and the highest it can go up to 24 lakhs as it is mentioned on the website. The top companies which come to the campus are Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc. Many students get more than one job so jobs are sufficient it depends on the individual that how he or she performs. The majority of the students get placed either by the college or on their own. Top roles are design engineer, system engineer, architect-engineer control engineer, etc. My plans are for further studies or will do the job
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very low as compared to different institutes even many government institutions. With less amount of fees, you can get a better education. There are many chances to grab the scholarship. For talented students, there are a lot of scholarships in various forms. Financial assistance is also available for needy students. If a student's reason is genuine then the institute is ready to help. I am still studying so I haven't been placed yet.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the college is very good. Every department is well equipped with the facilities like labs and there is a departmental library also. Labs are well sufficient for the course. There is a central library in which there are a lot of books. Every year a tech-fest is organized named prayukti and a refreshment fest named Riviera in which there are a lot of events and a bunch of prizes. Apart from this a lot of sports activities and tournaments are held. There are many social groups active in the college which enhances the skills.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are also good. It is big and looks good. There is a mess but the mess food is not so good or can say it is below average so we have to eat from outside to maintain the health as mess food is unhygienic. In-room you are provided with a table chair and a bed and other things you will have to arrange. For the hostel, you will have to register during the time of admission only that you want to opt or not. There are nearby homes which you can take on rent and the cost is also not so high so it's affordable.
