Remarks

In 2019 I had applied to IGNOU for the BCA program. the had my admission through the online process so it was completely hassle-free. I belong to the general category so I haven't had any quota. The eligibility criteria for admission are to have at least 40% overall in higher secondary and since the admission is through an online portal, one can easily take the admission from anywhere. and the best part is it doesn't matter what your previous score is you will easily get admission until you have the necessary documents it is distance learning so I haven't gone to college truly but just for lab and stuff I was summoned by the teachers and PRF. So I went to them once a twice a week but after the pandemic everything became online so yes you can say that I'm from those guys who studied in college but haven't had a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview

Since technologies is going to be the future of our world BCA is one of the options I go with. It's all about coding and application stuff and programming languages the teachers are quite helpful and you will be given proper guidance by the teachers. Exams will be held on every 6month for 3 years means total of 6 semesters.

IGNOU has its own placement cell called CPS. companies like Reliance life insurance, Aviva India, Quicker.com have been recruiting people from ignou on an average of 3-5 LPA are offered to BCOM students.

Placement Experience

After the 5th semester, the college students are eligible for the placement visited by many IT companies including and last year's pay was 5L which is good I guess. There are about 40% of students get an on-campus jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite affordable. I am currently pursuing the BCA program where I have to pay a sum of Rs,6000* every 6 months which includes my book expenses as well I haven't enrolled in any scholarship program, I was average in studying so I got the financial help on my own and again I haven't finished my college yet but I believe I will get placement on campus.

Campus Life

It was distance learning. So no annual fest and tech fest are being conducted no sport or any extra curriculum activities. The amenities in the classroom are great and we do have a library and there is the availability of books and stuff over there.

Placements are also very good for a bachlor course my seniors have got package upto 4lpa and many are placed as junior developer in many MNCs . Some are building their own business . overall best college in Delhi Ncr for bca without maths students.

We have placement cell in our department and it is mostly active. Though, most of students go for higher studies after BCA but, If you want you can be placed in a good company if You have the skills . The college would help .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i really like things about electronics, i feel attracted towards computer and stuff from childhood, then after opting computer science in 12th , i know what i want to do and chose this course. Talking about the faculty members, there is more than enough faculty members to handle the students, actually its more like a School where if one teacher is absent then some other teacher take the class. As far as the qualification of teachers is considered, i feel like they know how to teach there partiy subject, and that should be more than enough for students, teachers are nice and supportive towards students which i like the most about them. There are 2 semester in each year of course, in each semester there is one mid term exams and one end term exam, internal practical and external practical exams were akso held in each semester, and difficulty of exams is not so high, actually our teachers says that in IPU the more you write, the more you marks you get.

Remarks:

Can't say, first of all it's distance education and the lifestyle is such that it's ok to have what they have offered us in such a price range. Classes take place on weekends and hence you can hang out with friends outside the premises.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths.
