All you need to know about Dav college Chandigarh for BCA course

Our college is affiliated to Punjab University and BCA is a centralized course so its procedure for admission is totally online. After the result declaration of 12th class by Various boards, Punjab University releases notification on its official websites in the month of June/July you have to fill that form and have to choose a BCA course after that you have to select different colleges based on your priority in which college you want to take admission. Admission is based on your 12th class marks merit and no other entrance test. Dav is the best clg in Chandigarh for the BCA course so your priority should be 1. Dav, 2.Sd clg, 3.pggc-11 after that you can choose any remaining clg. After 10-15 days new notification will be released of allotted clg and you have 1-3 days of time to submit of fees and book your seat if you don't pay the fees your seat will be canceled.

I choose BCA because I am really passionate about software engineering and coding in general. Course curriculum includes in 1st sem C programming,English,maths,computer fundamentals 2nd sem C++, Computer organisation and architecture, English, Web technologies(html,css,JavaScript) 3rd sem Data structures, Numerical analysis, System design 4th sem DBMS, operating system,Software management 5th sem computer networking, Java language, Backend web development 6th sem project and seminars. Odd semester exams are likely to happen in December to Jan and even sem exam happens in may Faculty is really good and helping always to ready to listen your problems and provide solution to your problems.

I am not sure about placement stats because am in the second year but yes our college provides placement for final year students who want to do a job. There is placement cell who collects name of students interested to sit in placements actually placement drive is running now so am not sure about actual offeres offered once placement drive is over then we will get to know . Major recruiter usually come to campus are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCl, etc, and many more. Some students dont sit for placements because they have plans to do masters mostly have plans to do MCA or MBA and some also go to abroad for further studies

Fees structure is quite simple here you have to pay fee for entire one year that is approx 38000 per year and 5600 exams fees per year so your entire fees for 3year would be approx 1.30lakh. There is no scholarships so you have to pay fees on your own.

Campus life is very chill there is a cricket ground basket ball coat . 2 gardens where you can seat when you bunk classes library is also very good consisting thousands of books you will easily find whatever book you want . There are many societies you can join e.g photography ,dancing,singing ,debate, hand writing and also related to tech there are ample of things you can do
