Entrance Preview

As this university has the World Ranked QS University Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE) World University rankings, this was my dream college after my graduation. i appeared for all India examination CAT and scored a rank of 92 percentile. this college is very prestigious .

Course Curriculum Overview

A two-year, full-time residential program, Amrita's MBA is considered on par with the best in the world. The First year courses are compulsory for all students. These courses provide basic conceptual knowledge and inculcate attitudes and skills necessary for managerial effectiveness.In the second year, students take mostly elective courses. These help hone students' basic analytical skills as well as help build an overall business perspective. A wide variety of latest courses in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Systems and Operations help the students focus on their desired/ chosen area (s) of specialization. New and innovative courses like Managerial Values and Business Ethics, Business Across Cultures, Business Process Management, High Technology Product Marketing etc help the students to mould themselves into modern managers, while firmly grounded in fundamentals. Overall, the curriculum demands long hours of work and calls for sustained commitment from students.

Internships Opportunities

In ASB i have, over the years built a strong reputation for the value they have provided through the work done through their summer projects. The summer of 2009, for me saw ASB students involved in a wide range of live projects across the country. These included the mapping of business opportunities for Canon in Delhi, Hyderabad & Chennai; exploring chemist channels for Ranbaxy in the NCR region and Hyderabad; Measuring Training Effectiveness for Pantaloon in Bengaluru; an extensive market mapping exercise for NDDB in Haryana and Rajasthan; a study of the treasury operations of primary dealers for IDBI Gilts in Mumbai; Analysis of Presales Activities for i - Practice for Mind Tree, Bengaluru; process optimization using Six - Sigma tools for Brakes India in Chennai; an extensive consumer behavior study for Cavinkare in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat; and a working capital and inventory management exercise for Dhanalakshmi bank in Kerala. There are, i believe, three strong dimensions on which the ASB students have differentiated themselves.

Likes

Faculty member are knowledgeable approachable and supportive they explain concepts clearly using practical case studies and presentation.
The campus environment is friendly and students get good opportunities to interact through group project seminars events and extracurricular activities
The MBA curriculum covers important areas such as finance, marketing, HR and operation helping students develop management communication and problem solving skills.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities for MBA students at my college are reasonably good. students generally become eligible for campus placement from the 3rd ssemestse3r, after completing most of their core subjects. the placement cell starts preparing studnets through aptitude tests, resume building sessions, group discussions mock interviews and pre placement training.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities for my program are fairly good and students become eligible for campus placements from the third semester preparation and internship opportunities started yearly. The placemet cell various activity such as apptitude test, resume building session, group discussion, mock interview, prepare placemnt training to help students prepare for the requriements. The placement cell offers reasonable support throughout recruitment process.

Dislikes

More industry-oriented training, career guidance, and regular skill-development sessions would help students become better prepared for professional opportunities.
Placement opportunities can be improved by bringing more reputed companies and providing a wider range of job opportunities for students from different specializations.

Placement Experience:

The college provides 100% placement opportunities to all the students. We receive information about job openings, recruitment drives, aptitude tests, interviews, and other selection processes through the placement cell. The salary package is also good which is provided based on the company profile The placement cell supports students in various placement opportunities making all the students get placed while completing the degree After completing my degree, my plan is to start my career in a suitable role related to Human Resources or Finance, gain practical industry experience, and gradually develop my professional skills

Transforming Learning Beyond the Classroom

Likes

Supportive faculty, practical learning through case studies, workshops, and industry interactions helped improved both technical and management skills.a

Dislikes

The campus infrastructure is good, but adding more recreational spaces and student facilities would enhance the overall experience.
More cultural and technical events would make campus life more engaging

Likes

I applied for vit, snu, cuet examination. I couldnt get vit because of high rank, in cuet exam i got seat at pondicherry university. but still chose amrita for its reputation, infrastructure, and curriculum. first you should attend an entrance examination called AEEE escpecially for amrita vishwa vidhyapeetham, which has 2 phases. after both phases you get placed in a ranking system. for each range of ranks each department holds a rank exceptancy of the entrance participants. other than AEEE you can also get throw using JEE marks...Read More

A decent university

I applied to many colleges like Thapar College, Manipal College, VIT, and LPU and others. I got selected from many colleges, but I chose this college because of its ranking as it ranked 4th best university and 1st in the best private university. This was the only reason for the selection. Now it is also the 7th best university in india and 2nd in private universities. I only got rejected from the Manipal College of Engineering, and they didn't mention the reason for the rejection, but I assume the entrance exam was not so good for me. I rejected other colleges because I find Amrita University better than others. There are many ways to get admission, like from JEE mains or advanced and Amrita's own exam, AEEE.
