My MHT-CET score for the year 2011 was 89, Maths 56 Chemistry 21 Physics 12. I wanted to study computer science and this was among one of the most promising institute with amazing placement opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is amazing, revised curriculum truly caters the needs of the industry. Institute is ACCREDITED BY NBA, NEW DELHI and is permanently affiliated to solapur university. The University sets the curriculum, our teachers acquaint students with it with absolute ease.
Internships Opportunities
No, The College doesn't provide internship. Instead, they provide Project Sponsorship in association with the Corporate Giant 'Persistent Systems Ltd. for a few students chosen via an aptitude test.
Placement Experience
This is the best part. My class had 80% of campus placement, which by end of 8 month of graduation crossed the mark of 95% placement. This is for Computer Science. If we are to consider the overall placement scenario, the Institute has an average placement of about 75%.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The institute is privately funded and fees are considered to be the primary source of their means to keep the operations running. With new and one of the biggest infrastructures in region, their cost is competitive. The last time I heard, it was in 2014-15, the cost was Rs1,02,000 for first year for a regular candidate.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is good. There has been new facility built with air conditioned rooms along with regular rooms which are more than sufficient to live in the locality. Two in campus mess are available for students with absolutely no compulsion to opt for the mess services. The mess food is best in the town and one would find many feasible food options in the locality.
Exam Structure
University Pattern is followed as per semester. Nothing very different in that. Usually the college starts from 1st July for the Odd term and 1st January for the even term. Practical and Oral Exams are conducted by External examiners and are considered as important as the university exams. Also the institute conducts unit tests to keep students in sync with the syllabus covered by the timeline.
Admission
I got admit based on my cast as this institute has 51% Seats reserved for Jain Community Students. For a Jain student, a special form needs to be filled. Based on the merit list, students are called up for an interview to be conducted by the principal of the institute where you have to explain/ justify your interest in the respective course of study.
Faculty
Faculty is highly qualified, very well educated and well behaved. With teachers receiving accolades from a variety of industries and domains, they keep the syllabus in mind and introduce students with the concepts in a friendly, yet well paced approach. The senior staff is amazing at handling students of this age group. The new staff still seems to be struggling with keep a good repo with students.
