Remarks
Given Jee mains got AIR close to 28K but due to some family problem, I was unable to take admission and the only option that I was left was college near my home i.e. St. Xavier's College, Ranchi. Gave the entrance test secured merit rank under 50 and took admission in B.sc Physics.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is actually great you will get the subject knowledge as well as practical experience of all the physics theories simultaneously. The curriculum is designed in such a way that we can understand very and can relate it with the environment. The Faculty is one of the best in Ranchi. They are always ready to help with whatever problem you faced. The style of teaching is what will make you get interested more in Physics.
Internships Opportunities
If you are talented you will fetch an Internship very easily. There are a wide variety of opportunities for Internships in college as well as online for St. Xavier's College. For my department i.e for Physics IAPT provides internships, IIT Dhanbad too. Basically a research internship.
Placement Experience
Students from the 5th semester become eligible for campus placements. The companies' visits are TCS, Wipro, DXC, Infosys, and many more. The highest placements of the 2019 batch were 15LPA and of 2020 batch was 9LPA. I don't have all the data of college but in my department, there are almost 80% of students get placement offers. I have planned to go for higher studies and pursue M.Sc
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are as per government norms and it is reasonable for even a lower-middle-class. Apart from that the college and department both provide scholarships as well as cash prizes on yearly basis to the meritorious student.
Campus Life
The Campus is small but it provides a wide opportunity for social life, there are a food cafeteria, indoor games room, and a playground. you will see a wide variety of events happening on this campus which will help you to get interact with boys and girls of different departments. you will have ample opportunity to participate in the campus events.
