Remarks
I have applied for Bsc Nursing at Chitkara University also but didn't go there as my first priority was KIIT. I availed OBC quota for the admission process through which i got some relaxation in KIITEE. Admission was based on 12th marks basis and one have to qualify KIITEE, entrance exam. The minimum marks required in 12th is 60% and there is no age limit. The admission process was simple, you have to appear for KIITEE, then after online counseling, appear in the college with all required documents.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Bsc Nursing as i want to make my carrier in biology, and I'm interested in this subject. The student's teacher ratio is very poor at the campus, there is 1 teacher for every 50 students. Faculties at the campus are highly experienced and they are experts in their subject matters. They teach the course more practically than theoretically. Exams are held per semester, there is a total of 8 semesters and one can easily pass these moderate-level exams.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement in the 4th semester that is in the 4th year. Sun Pharma, Bharat biotech, TCS, Wipro, Infosys are the major placement providing companies at the campus. Around 70% of students are placed with an average salary of 4 lakhs per annum. After BSc Nursing, i want to pursue MSc Nursing for my higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure at the campus is high as compared to other colleges providing Bsc Nursing, also the fees hike is around 1000-2000 every year. Per year fees are 120000 + 75000 at the time of admission. Scholarship provided is according to the scheme of central government that is National Scholarship Program that cuts off college fees to some extent for eligible students. Paid internships are provided to meritorious students.
Campus Life
The annual fest of the college runs for 3 days, it's named KIITFEST 6/7/8 according to the year, it is celebrated every year in June. The college has its own library filled with numerous books on different subjects. The classroom is well maintained with an air conditioner, adequate lights, and a smartboard. A variety of sports are played on the college ground as a part of extracurricular activities. There is a social group, commonly known as KIITIANS on different social media platforms.
