Sneak Peak into N.L Dalmia

I had applied for SIES, Welingkar, and N L DALMIA as I wish to go for finance I chose Dalmia which was the best as compared to the other 2. I didn't avail any quota for admission. Admission criteria: Minimum 60% in graduation and minimum age 20. Admission Process: Held on Zoom platform with Group discussion followed by the personal interview with 2 panelists.

I chose this course because I had a keen interest to explore the world of finance from one of the best institutes in Mumbai for finance. The student to faculty ratio: 10:4 wherein all the teachers are well qualified or highly qualified to be precise. Qualification: CMA, CA, CFA, Mphil, Ph.D. are a few qualifications of teachers who are teaching at the institute. Teaching Method: The teaching method at college is interesting on zoom they share slides and teach and after that a small test takes place and doubt solving sessions. Exams: Difficulty level was moderate and exams took place on time and we were supposed to upload the scanned paper on the LMS system of the college.

Many internship companies came with 100% internship placement. Herein companies such as AIM, Crisil, RBI, Finmen Advisors, Insplore consultants came on board. A few of them were paid a few of them were unpaid. We were supposed to make a summer internship project based on the field in which we secured our 2 monthly internships.

Students get eligible after clearing trimester three and appeared for trimester 4. Highest package: 12 Lakhs p.a. Average Package: 9 Lakhs p.a. Profiles offered: Financial Analyst, GAX, GAC, Fixed Income, Sales, Relationship Manager, Deputy Relationship Manager, etc were a few roles offered by companies. I don't have any plans for further study I will be working on the job which I secured and excel my career in same.

The Fee structure is a total of 10,30,000/- for 2 years for batch 20-22. There was a hike in fees for juniors. Scholarships: College doesn't provide any scholarships. Financial Assistance: I didn't apply for any financial assistance Job: Many jobs are still coming on campus and as far as internship is concerned I secured an internship at HPCL from my own sources.

Many fests takes place at NL Dalmia they are as follows: Mulyankan, Vishlesh, Arzoo, and other paper-based competitions. Books are available in the library and an online digital library is also made available at the college. Social Groups: MSR (My social responsibility), Alcom (Alumni Committee) are there: Clubs: Ace Club (marketing), Finance Forum & Delta Magazine (finance), General Management Committee(GMC), Goonj Magazine

Yes there was a GD held wherein the topic was based on OTT platforms and their emergence. There was no Written Aptitude Test (WAT). After GD there was a personal interview undertaken by 2 panelists based on graduation projects and questions such as why finance, fundamental ratios, Economy, inflation, repo & reverse rates, etc. I prepared for these interviews by studying GK i,e, general knowledge along with the current financial news and all finance ratios, and my graduation project.
