Remarks

One has to participate in the Haryana technical education College counselling. The admission is done based on the jee mains rank. If any seats are left vacant there is physical counselling conducted thereafter. The cutoff for the home state in the first round is around 27 thousand ( general category ) home states. And for home state girls it is around 40 thousand. ( Jee mains rank ) . The maximum drop year lowed is 2. The ranks mentioned are for the Computer engineering branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The exams are held at the end of each semester. (After 6 months ) and there is winter and summer break for one month each after every semester. For labs, practicals are conducted by our teacher ( internal ) and external both at the end of the semester. One is also awarded 10 marks for attendance throughout the semester. The exams are of moderate difficulty level, having all types of questions - easy, medium and hard. The vivas for practicals are on a tougher side.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies that come for placement also come for internships and stipend varies from company to company. But the internships are paid. One whole semester is for internships ( after the 7th). Some companies pay 20000 per month some 50 000 per month for internships. For internships as such project is not required but one major project and 2/3 minor projects are required for placements. Students start working on their projects from 3 rd sen onwards so it's a productive thing.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are pretty decent one get placement in the last sem and internship after the 7th sem. On campus, companies come for internships as well as placement. Almost 90 percent of computer engineering students get placements. Some go for higher studies. Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Samsung are among the highest paying recruiters. Adobe comes for only girls. There is a placement cell of the university which is very active and let students know about all the things and requirements. Topics to be covered and skills required beforehand.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for general students for 4 years is around 300000-400000 but for economically weaker students University provide financial support in each semester. There is also a policy in which through a scheme the student gets a loan and can repay the loan once he/she gets a job. But one can avail of the scheme only if they score well if someone attendance or grade falls below a level they discontinue the loan scheme.

Campus Life

3.5

There are various clubs in the university: Ananya, photography, dance society, NCC, drama club, debating club, technical clubs ( manan ) - for coding, geeks mean (technical club), micro bird ( electronics ), they're also a club for mechanical ( people make cars and automobiles ), their alumni page on Instagram and yeah a confession page.

Hostel Facilities

5

Girls get a hostel for all the courses and all the years. But boys get hostel only for the first year, though many pg for boys are available nearby, the girl's hostel is very maintained. Boys are good too. The food in hostels is pretty decent. The hostel is affordable. New hostels are being built. The hostels have all the facilities: hot water, security overall good. The hostel timings for girls are strict 6 pm and for boys 10 pm. To get a room in the hostel one has to mail the warden regarding the room allotment.
