Remarks

I have applied for TKM college of engineering, NSS college of engineering and MITS college of engineering. I opted for the priority list as 1st MITS, 2nd TKM, 3rd NSS. First of all, I opted for MITS as my priority because MITS is in the 2nd position in the KTU released college pass percentage rank list and TKM AND NSS are in the 7th and 8th positions respectively. Also, before getting a self financing seat in MITS I had applied for a management seat in MITS before KEAM results got published. They asked for a caution refundable deposit of 10k rupees and tuition fees + other fees 38,300/semester. This fee may vary for students who have more marks in maths in +2. I was having 88% in maths in +2 so I got this fee. Also, they told me that if I score more than 8 CGPA in the first semester I will get my fees reduced to rupees 28,300. They offer Hostels with food and accommodation. For a room of 4 beds, they give it for 5700 rupees. For the students from KEAM, the max fee is about 75,000/year.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opted for civil engineering at MITS. I'm interested in drawing and others so I opted for this course in this college. There are enough faculties for the number of students. The number of seats in this college is always full. it is a well reputed college in Kerala and even in India too. Now the orientation classes started, it was in an online zoom meeting, it was nice and very interactive. The teachers are very polite and very interactive especially Chikku sir. He is a very nice person there. I have visited the campus once only because of the covid 19 pandemic. Also, I'm now attending my first semester so I'm not well aware of the term exams and all. But I have contacted some students who had passed out from there, they told me that they got well placed in some IT companies with a nice salary and also when they are studying, the exams were good and easy for those who hard work. For a professional course, it doesn't matter Is the exam easy or not. "Those who Hard work will get best results".

Placement Experience

5

Telling about the placements , u will definitely get a placement in an IT company. Also many multinational companies like TATA gives campus interview in this college. If u have skill and knowledge u will get placed in better companies. Pass percentage in Muthoot Institue of Technology and Science (MITS) is 67.59% according to pass percentage ranklist released by KTU. My plans after getting this degree is to go abroad for higher studies. TATA, TECH MAHINDRA, NEST, EMSYNE, POORNAM, SUTHERLAND, TURBOLAB, UST GLOBAL PIVOT SYSTEMS, KALYAN DEVELOPERS, AMAZON, BOSCH, BYJU'S, WIPRO, and so on are the companies who are the major recruiters in MUTHOOT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE.

Fees and Financial Aid

telling about the fees structure, I was having 88% in my plus two. I opted for a management seat in MITS so because of my marks they told me to pay a fee of 38,300 per semester and a caution deposit of rupees 10,000 should be paid, It will be refunded when we complete the course. They give scholarships for students who are having more marks for maths in plus two. When coming to the self financing seat in KEAM entrance allotment MITS offer a fee of a maximum of 75,000 per year. Students coming through KEAM entrance allotment get scholarships based on their marks of maths in plus two. I had talked with many of the students who passed out from her, they told that You can assure a sure job in an IT company with a nice salary but for having a better job than the job you got will be only based on your skills and knowledge. A student who has passed Civil Engineering from MITS is now in an AI group in the company. Doesn't matter which trade you studied, How much is your knowledge & skills just matters.

Campus Life

4

Now the classes are conducted online only. But when I visited the campus of Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science it's like heaven. A wonderful campus. It is having a basketball ground. It has a wonderful library with a wide range collection of books. Overall the college is nice but because of the pandemic the classes are now online and it's a very big bad limitation. But these are all part of our life we should face.

Hostel Facilities

5

Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) offers Hostel facilities with food and accommodation. For students from long distances can have hostels. For a room of four beds for four students is for 5,700 rupees per month including food. So if a student is getting into a hostel from the first year onwards they have to spend 68,400 rupees per year and 2,73,600 rupees for four years. The total fees for both hostel and tuition fee will be about 5,90,000 rupees including caution deposit.

Beacuse according to KTU college ranklist TKM is in No.7 and MITS is No.2 best college in KERALA.

NSS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING | CIVIL ENGINEERING

Because according to KTU college ranklist NSS is No.8 and MITS is No.2 best college in KERALA

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
