Entrance Preview
The course taken by me was Masters in Commerce. I scored B grade and i opted for this course as i had to pursue a degree in Masters and also management was my specialisation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is pretty much easy as every semester has only 4 subjects in total and there are 2 compulsory subjects and 2 specialised subjects. As i had opted for management my core main subjects were Human resource and Marketing. The subjects are easy enough and also very helpful.
Internships Opportunities
No, I didn't have any companies coming in for a Internship programme. I wished there were some companies coming in and proving some internship with a basic stipend.
Placement Experience
The placements are good. There were some companies that recruited students. I remember Hotel Hyaat recruiting for their management position. 2 rounds of interviews were taken in the college and the final round was at the hotel. I didn't go for the interview as i didn't want to go into hotel Industry.
College Events
The college fest is named and known to be Jasan E Rizvi. This fest has many colleges participating in the different events organised. There a also a celebrity called every year. Events such as dance, singing, fashion show etc are a part of the fest. A lot of preparation is made in advance of the fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. The course that i opted for was costing around 15 thousand a year. Its a 2 year course. The same course was Costing me to 70 thousand in manglore for 1 year. The fees include everything in it. Access to library, gym, computer lab, industrial visit etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, there is a scholarship for minorities in the college. As i was new to this place and college i didn't apply for it and i wouldn't know much about it. There were some others who had applied for it. And the college supports the student in studies.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is somewhat equal i can say. Campus life is amazing. There is a fresher party organised by Hindustan times and also there are other events such as traditional day celebrated. The juniors organise a send off party for the seniors. No restriction when it comes to the fun element with the college.
Hostel Facilities
No, there were no Hostel. If one needs a PG then they can find some but as the location of the college is bandra west then it would be expensive to fit in here. Normally a PG range in Bandra is around 8 to 10 thousand a month. Which would not include food.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good. There are seniors who visit the college and are in contact with the lecturers. I myself am an alumni now and in contact with the college. The lecturers are very welcoming and happy to see us meet them.
Exam Structure
Exams were twice in the year. Before the exams we had to select a exam centre nearby to our residence. There is not a much of struggle to study for the exam. There are internal marks for viva that are conducted and external exam marks. So then the both are summed up giving the final grade of that semester.
Admission
I got to know about this college through my friend and as i studied my bachelors in Manglore university i had to get my migration certificate. The admission process is easy for M.Com and doesn't take much of your time. I had to then submit my Passing certificate and the management is very helpful in letting you know on anything else that is required.
Faculty
The faculty is amazing. I can rather say that the faculty explains the topic in detail and in a much simpler way. The lecturers were very qualified with a lot of teaching experience. They were friendly and also would guide us throughout the course for future aspects.
