Remarks

The university is ranked 4th in the category of Architecture in India by NIRF and ranked 3rd by GSIRF. After going through the prospectus I decided to fill the online form. I was asked to submit my 12th marksheet scoring 70% and some personal documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It gives exposure beyond academics in the form integral part of personality development. Students also get training in corporate communications, foreign language, community outreach, making them an asset to society. During this programme, I was encouraged to work intensively in the studio, to learn from each other and from the teaching team through ongoing feedback and support.Teaching quality oscillates heavily between better to good depending on the faculty members. The course structure focuses less on teaching structural design and several other core civil subjects that are important for competitive exams like GATE. It is a good course for students who want to be construction managers, 2nd-3rd generation contractors and builders.

Internships Opportunities

4

It offers an opportunity to the students to work on live projects through its Summer and Winter Schools (SWS). In the previous SWS, students have favoured workshop sessions, activities that are installation oriented and those which require travel. The University also has a Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) that facilitates several workshops, sharing of good teaching practices, faculty development and innovation in teaching methods.

Placement Experience

4

The salary package offered is around 3 lpa to 6.5 lpa for freshers. Mega seems to be the top employer as of now for students in the Faculty of Technology. Students usually end up working in the domain of construction management and real estate after this course. The course has a very good project training semester where students do good internships on coveted projects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My course was of 5 years for which I paid total fees around ?â_14,00,000. Every year, I paid approximately ?â_3,20,000 each. I didn't get the scholarship but I got the financial aid help that helped me pay my fees.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities are organized by the college every now and then in the form of seminars organised for every subject. A crowd of the college is great in many ways. I got explore my hidden talent and I met new people and made new contacts.

Hostel Facilities

4

The University campus is located over 12 acres of land area and is well-equipped with all basic amenities, such as IT services, smart classrooms, labs, a cafeteria, a library, a hall, a conference hall, an auditorium, Wi-Fi etc.The college has a good infrastructure. The library is a repository of wonderful books and a lot of useful resources. The Wi-Fi network is wonderful. Classrooms and labs are extremely well-equipped. The University has hostel facilities both for girl?Ûªs & boy?Ûªs. The University provides hostel facilities with basic amenities such as mess, TV, common room, water purifiers, laundry service, security & surveillance system etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Diploma in Architecture course at BVPIT Bardoli gives a solid foundation for students who want to start a career in architecture or go for B.Arch later. The curriculum is well-structured with a good series of subjects – starting from basic drawing, design principles, and construction, then moving on to building materials, services, working drawings, and design studios. Practical learning is a strong part of the course with model-making, site visits Overall, the course is job-oriented, practical, and well-sequenced. With a little more modernisation, for future architects.
