Campus was well good in infrastructure and its NIRF 8th, first among second generation IITs, also its the IIT located in my home city.Also I wasn't getting goid branches in Elite 7 IITs and I didn't like newer IITs, still in construction, so I preferred IIT Hyderabad.Admission is through JOSAA counseling. Usually 6 to 7 rounds of counseling happens. It happens usually in june- july, but due to covid as exams postponed, counseling also postponed to october - November.
Course Curriculum Overview
I initially wanted CSE, but my father persuaded that he wants me to be a student in IIT only, so materials science was a convincing choice for both of us, so that's the reason for choosing this course. Faculty to student ratio is very good at amost 1:7. They were informative and very interactive. As practical as an IIT faculty should be. IIT Hyderabad has fractal academics, so exams were frequently conducted and assignments also assignments every week.All faculty were hold a PhD in the relavent field.Since they were of small, preparation eas easy, but faculties used to ask questions in little deep into context.
Placement Experience
Placement sessions usually start at the end of 6th semester ir start of 7th semester.Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung,Goldmann Sachs, Cisco, Vedantu, TCS, Tata Motors, L&T constructions, DRDO etc.I am planning higher studies in foreign universities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Affordable fee, scholarships are in plenty,but with high eligibility barriers. A low interest loan scheme is also available. Placements are amazing as expected from an IIT. Even in Materials Science, many got placed despite lower stipends
Campus Life
Elan and Nvision, conducted in February, plenty of books are stocked in library, there is even an e library. There is an excellent student body calked Student's Gymkhana, which takes care of Student's issues snd concerns.There are various SciTech, Cultural and Literary clubs in IIT Hyderabad. Example of cultural being gesture, vibes abd shuffle. For Literary, writing, quiz, books and movies,debate, etc. Fir SciTech, Aero,Lambda, Cepheid,epoch,infero etc.

No, I am still a first year student, I didn't any opportunity to attend a GD or interview for a company. Hoping to face a live interview soon.Preparing for an interview is like normal, just be as honest as possible, be genuine and confident.
