1. I choose NIT-W for the brand name it had developed over years.2. The institute is known for its good Research facilities and ambience provided for research scholars3. The professors in the college have good rapport and knowledge on state of the art technologies.4. The college was ranked in the top 3 NITs in the NIRF ranking.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in NITW. Most of the faculties are well-qualified and updated with the current developments in the field. The exams are averagely difficult but can be cleared if one listens to the lectures.
Internships Opportunities
Scholars do not attend any internships but B.Techs are usually offered internship opportunities by the college from the placement cell.
Placement Experience
The institute has a dedicated placement that strives to provide placement opportunities for scholars in other institutes as well as industry (though less). The average package for a scholar is around Rs.40000.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees is around Rs.11500 per semester and the hostel fell comes Rs.12000/semester. The hostel fee is Rs.12000 per year. There are several scholarships for financially backward students including fee waivers. GATE qualified scholars are provided with stipend according to UGC norms.
Campus Life
There are two fests every year: a tech fest and a cultural fest. There are several clubs and regular club activities can be seen always. The library is huge and updated with relevant textbooks but journals aren't available much. The institute promotes sports and extracurricular activities and fund the teams generously.

Admission
Interview was conducted for the admission with question mostly from my B.Tech dissertation and project interests. I had prepared well in my area of interests and tacled questions logically.
