Remarks

It is government college and it provides scholarship. I was selected for scholarship.so I joined it. Main reason for joining was the low fee with a good amount scholarship. Also teachers are very cooperative and helps in projects. Professor have contacts in other universities and even foreign universities. One can publish research papers if he/she will devote time in research.

Course Curriculum Overview

It has job oriented course. Faculty-students ratio is average. It is around 1-10. All faculties are either PhD or Post Doc with around 5-20 years of experience. All exams are conducted at time. There is no lag in semester. For passing examination, you need to study moderately.

Placement Experience

Campus placements start at 3rd semesters.Many company visited the college. College only allow company which offers high packages. In my batch 50% of students are get placed with the average of 6 lakhs package.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A financial assistance is provided.If you work well with professor,they will provide you some works from which you can earn for your livelihood. If you have sponsorships, then it is also good. Overall you can manage your expenses.

Campus life is very good. Many cultural events are are regularly organised and you can enjoy the life here. There are photography club, music club ,dance club architectural club and many more. Men event of colleges CORONA and MILENGE.

Placement Experience:

3rd semester student in case of pget and 7th semester student in case of get are eligible to college placement. Some 3rd year student also got internship. Company like mahindra and mahindra, alstrom, ZF group, Cummins India, Jindal stainless steel, TCE, L&T, L&T edu etc in mechanical. Highest package is around 13 lakhs and average package around 7 lakh in pget mechanical courses. 40% in case of pget mechanical. PhD after completing master degree.

Life At IIT Patna

Placement Experience:

In my batch, out of 64 MTech students only 42 got placed in which I was the one. The highest CTC offered was 59 LPA to only 3 students. My college has a dedicated training and placement cell, which focus to train students for best during placement interviews. The top visiting companies are Google, Morgan Stanley, Amazon, Flipkart, Amazon India, Infotech etc.

My experience of M.Tech

Placement Experience:

There was a hype created weeks before the placement week among students. Hustle-bustle, students preparing for the jobs in the libraries was a common sight. In my batch, Aurus Networks, Google, Amazon India, Indian Navy, Tricon Infotech, Microsoft, IDC, Indian Navy, Morgan Stanley (Mumbai), Arista Networks, Amazon( Hyderabad), Flipkart among the others visited the campus. Highest CTC was Rs. 50.76 LPA. I also participated in this week and got placed in a decent company.

To be honest, I was surprised to see such amazing placement packages from IIT Patna; it well exceeded my expectations; the best package for our batch was 40 LPA, with the average package being around 20 LPA. To be honest, IIT Patna offers the finest return on investment; it is worthwhile to be a part of IIT Patna. The college provides good placement and has a record of 100% placement. The college placement was also one of my reason to join IIT Patna. The college placement committee is helpful and members of the committee have industrial exposure so the helps us and guides us during the placement process. The highest package for our batch was around 45 LPA and the average package was around 21 LPA. I also received the package of 23 LPA. Few of my batchmates received the pre-placement offers. Companies like AG Measurematics, Bajaj Auto Ltd, DRDO, BSNL, NTPC, Hyundai Motors, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, Wipro, etc participated in the college placement drive.

The highest package for our batch went up to 15 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Companies like HDFC Bank, Bharat Petroleum, Microsoft, Samsung, SAP Labs, Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, L&T, etc visited the campus during the college placement drive. I also received a package of 12 LPA from Wipro which was a dream come true and all thanks to NIT Patna.
