Remarks

College management is bad.it is a rumour.I find it satisfactory till now.CIT is a good college for building your basics on technical education.and if you think you deserve much more than this then I'm sure you would not have been looking for it.

Entrance Preview

I came here through direct admission (based on xiith percentage). Let me tell you that i'm a dropper. Earlier I had attempted JEE MAINS twice and got 108 and 86 marks. I had low board percentage. Reason for opting this college was sheer pressure from family unavailability of any other options. Hope you got that.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course structure is pretty good. But there's no focus on research activities. Its just like simple and plain teaching. Professors just mug up some pieces of shit and vomit that into classes. They always seem to be in hurry of finishing the syllabus and irony is that syllabus never gets complete properly on time. Thus its totally a mess.

Internships Opportunities

No, out college does not provide internship.and I'm not proud of that.have not heard the word at the campus.the max you get here is few seminars, workshop and at last a good counselling.

Placement Experience

1.5

Thumbs down placement is good as compared to other colleges which are equally competent. I wouldnt name them though.very few companies land on the campus and if you are lucky enough to get through those then Bingo!! for others off campus is a good option.

College Events

3

If you are interested in events then CIT may not sadden you coz we have lot of events organized in our campus. Social events, literary and cultural. I haven't officially seen a tournament as Paarth mentioned it earlier, we have a basketball court but in vain, it is the bballcourt onto which few of our cultural programs are organized. we have annual fest aka Genesis, other events include Fresher's, Christmas Carroll Fiesta.etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. It is nearly 70k a year you can pay it in lumpsum.or according to your convenience. There's no issue on that as far as I have observed.fees are to be cleared before the end of a semester. Well ya, that's one of the basic rules that most of the colleges follow. So you need not worry about the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ya, there are. Scholarships available for female and sc/st students.if you are one among the latter one, a bulky cheque of 60k may be showered on you every year. The college accepts loans some of my friends are availing that.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is boring.before telling you my experiences let me inform you that I'm already exposed to metro life earlier.so my views may differ from others gender ratio is healthy boys outnumber girls but that's common. CSE branch is the most lively. So if you are looking for girls this is the place for you.ha ha.other branches are devoid of life. On a serious note. Students are not biased here on account of any parameter.you will find some rich, some poor, some good, some bad. So what I mean is CIT offers you a properly distributed crowd. you'll love it.

Alumni/Alumna

I have no idea about hr aluminium but for the senior students.they are highly supportive. Its a trend for seniors to pay for a juniors bill when they hang out together. There may be some mischievous ones but majority of them are good to approach and benefit. I have seen very talented sirs in my hostel. I don't really know why they chose CIT. So you will probably find a good amount of intellect in campus. But you gotta search for that.

Exam Structure

To be honest, I have not much of experience on this. I have given an internal test till nw and that was fine. Marking was good. I've heard semesters getting late and to talk of labs. Its the only cause of my worries. its just waste of time you won't get practical knowledge just by standing like statues in the labs.chem lab is good computer is fine. CIT needs to work on their workshops lap periods are boring overall.

Faculty

2

To be frank, faculty do not give their 100%.on a general note, English faculty is good.Maths is so and so.for other papers its not good. These hold only for my branch (CSE).for other disciplines, the scenario may have slight deviation. But the faculty situation remains almost same.it won't be good to disregard the faculty hereon.but if you are looking for a decent one I'm sorry you won't get it here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.
