Remarks
I previously applied for K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering ( KJSCOE ) but later I applied for the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology ( KJSIET ) and got admission in the same. I did not avail for any qouta. I got my admission via the MHT-CET marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have opted for the Information Technology branch. The teachers are really good having immense knowledge about the subjects and courses they teach. We have 2 sems in a year and each sem has 2 internal assessments i.e. our term tests and one Final exam of each sem.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides in-house internships as well as off - campus internships. Not all companies give stipends because you are being given an internship via the college. The projects related to the internship are those which help in the curriculum of the students.
Placement Experience
Placements are really good with top-notch companies coming for interviewing. The average package offered is 7 Lakhs per annum. You can also further opt for higher studies if desired. The percentage of placements is about 90% of students getting placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of the college is around 155800. I have not applied for financial aids so I don't know much about them. Since the college is a Gujarati college, there are seats reserved for Gujarati Minority.
Campus Life
The campus life is really good. There are two fests conducted every year. One is the Cultural fest i.e Surge and the other is the technical fest i.e. the Renaissance. Labs are well equipped with new technologies and software and fully facilitated with A/C. There's a Library which has many copies of the same book so that almost everyone can issue and read them.
