Course Curriculum Overview

4

The college faculty is too good. The students and teachers I have witnessed in this college are very hardworking and helpful. The seniors and teachers are always there to take your doubts. The curriculum is updated and there's good clinical exposure. The only lacking factor is the availability of research opportunities. Our college provides facilities like ac laboratories, library, wifi, good lab and dissection halls for medical students. The infrastructure of our college is good and also the condition of the hostel is also better now. The course curriculum is changed with advanced technology and added alongside the syllabus. This course needs practical as well as theoretical knowledge which is provided well by our respected teachers. The course curriculum is vast and it requires attention. Our course is different than other courses as after studies we will get a chance of 1-year internship and then we are provided a license to practice on our own, also we can do PG.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for MBBS is INR 80,000 per year. Generally, no scholarships are offered as it is a goverment college, and also I don't think so that loans are needed as fees are not so high. In an internship, an intern will get INR 15000 per month, so in one year of internship, you can earn INR 1,80,000. The average salary of MBBS in the goverment sector is 45,000-50,000 per month and in the private sector, their salary will be 25,000-29000 per month. Good network at government medical colleges and hospitals. But they are not offering you a scholarship on the basis of your marks. But you may apply for scholarships under many schemes of the goverment ( e- portal scholarship government of Punjab ) if you are belonging to a category then you also may apply for it and get your scholarship. The internship will be for one year at the hospital through which you can earn a stipend of at least INR 15000 per month. After PG if u ger job then u can earn more than 70,000 per month in a goverment job and in a private job +50.

Campus Life

3.5

All the festivals are celebrated in our goverment medical college Patiala. Good and easy-going college life. There are societies forcillege fests, discipline committed, mess committees. The main festivals of the colleges are college fest ( aura), sports meet, Fresher's party, Lohri celebrations, holi party, teej celebrations on the campuses. Life of relaxed, good, and fun of fun here. There are many hostels 2 for the girls and 1 for the boy hostel and 1 for PG students. The hostel fee is INR 34,300 per year ( it may vary according to the time ). PG's are also available and the fees are around INR 6000-7000 per month. Excellent food is served in the mess. The amount for the food is about INR 35 per meal. Classrooms are fully ventilated. Overall an average infrastructure. There is also a tv room in the hostel for the entertainment of the hostelers. Sometimes wifi is not working ( unavailable ). The library is good highly ventilated and ypu get all kinds of books related to your subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum “is well-planned … as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines.” Practical classes are included daily alongside theory. “practicals are also included each day along with theory classes.” The AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics, Communication) component is explicitly mentioned, which is good because it shows attention to non-technical competencies. there are 4 levels of exams in a year — mid-terms, “send-ups,” etc. Some students feel the curriculum is stressful.
