Remarks

At the time of the counseling process, there is a procedure to fill up your preferred colleges for your course and after that according to your secured rank, colleges invite you to take admission in their college. Therefore, according to my rank secured in the entrance exam, this college had been allotted to me. I have chosen VIPS, FIMT, IDEAL, and then DME. Hence, according to my rank, this college was allotted to me. I have not taken admission on the basis of any quota, whatsoever. Admission criteria are simple and easy. Candidate must have completed their secondary and senior secondary education i.e. the candidate shall have passed the examination of 10 & 12 class with a minimum percentage of 55%. Upon fulfillment of these criteria, the candidate would be eligible to appear for the entrance exam for any course offered by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The counseling session at my college was good. The college ambassadors introduced us to the campus of the college. It was a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Exams used to take place regularly in each semester. The level of the exam used to be standard. It was not so much difficult and not so much easy. If a student is well versed with the facts and laws then he or she can easily pass the exams. Faculties were also very good and experienced who used to cooperate and guide the students a lot. The hard work and dedication of both students and teachers made it easy to pass the exams. Whether it was end-term exams or internal exams, both had a standard level of difficulty. I always intended to become a lawyer and therefore, chosen this course and took admission to this college. Faculties were of high expertise and educational qualification. They used to take interactive sessions and had an interesting way to teach which helped us in understanding the concepts. Although what is the situation of the faculties today, I cannot guarantee that as it has been almost three years I have been passed from the college and many things and faculties have changed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was initially less but in the due course of time, within few years it hiked from 65000 to 85000 plus. Although the college has all types of facilities except a hostel on the campus which is situated in their other branch established at Greater Noida. Therefore, it is difficult for the DME students to take campus hostel facilities. There are no scholarships, financial assistance facilities available in the college. No job placements as such are there. Students have to arrange on their own. No such internship opportunity is provided by them except for few teachers who might help you or guide you due to your personal connection with them or can say if you are in the good books of a teacher. The fee was hiked unnecessarily just for the mere purpose of providing an AC facility in the classroom, by the college and there was no hearing to that. The campus was not very big and no extra-curriculum activities used to take place even then their fee was very high. The only highlight in the college is their auditorium.

Campus Life

3

The annual fest took place in the last two years of my college life and after I passed out one more time it happened. I do not know about the current situation regarding annual fests. But when it took place college authorities were not very cooperative as everything had to be organized by the students themselves and the college helped very little. The College campus was not so big therefore someplace outside college had to be taken. In the third year, it happened in the college itself, it was also fun. College library has good collection of books and journals, but sometimes people/students used to get the books issued in their names and kept on reissuing it due to which others could not get a chance to have it. Classrooms are big and well ventilated and Air-conditioned. Joint big tables with separate chairs for students. Classrooms are having projectors facilities also which are used very little by the teachers. There are very less sports activities or negligible. Although there were many others clubs.

Other Applied Colleges

Amity Institute of Advanced legal studies | LL. M

This college do not offer for the masters programs and therefore, I had to apply in other college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placement Experience:

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

The college provide students with PDF lectures which focuses on personality development which includes confidence building, speaking and listening skills, etc. They also give tips for a better resume and how to give interview and prepare us for interviews by organising mock interviews. 5th year students are the focused students for the campus placement. Some students choose to be an advocate and others may prepare for higher studies and or prepare for judiciary and other civil services examinations. I personal preference to go for the one field which can open my ways for other field stoo.

Placement Experience:

Yes they do provide campus placement last year only almost 70 students were offered jobs in campus placement. But in our case most of the students have their own plans like the majority of them are generational lawyers so either they'll join their firms or they have very good contacts so they'll get places easily but in my case as a first generation lawyer we do get internship or assessment internship in which we get very good chances to get PPO they we don't have to relay on college for campus placement. In my case if i didn't get campus placement then wherever I've done my internship I'll try to convert my internship into a PPO

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
