Entrance Preview

CET(Common Entrance Test) after 12th Standard. I had scored 10348 rank. This college was not by 1st option but I had with very limited options due to my bad grades and I chose it over others since Computer Science department was my course and the college had good name for that department.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course was structured for 4 years as follows 1st year is all about understanding basic engineering concepts across all course. We will still have option to change course if we intend as we will have a taste of all domains. It works in Semester basis with 14 theory subjects and 4 labs and 2 general subjects(constitution of India and work ethics, Environmental studies) .

Internships Opportunities

Yes, We had to attend college as per our university so the internship offers were for shorter periods or for weekends. Average stipend was about 10000 per month. For final semester students college was for 3 days per week so it they can attend internship for rest four days. There were not many companies coming to offer internship but it was ok.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements were good. High end used to call us for pool but many companies visited us 80% of eligible students were placed. Mu Sigma 21 Lakhs for 3 years, Infosys 3.3LPA, Cognisant 3.38 LPA, IGate 3.3 LPA, Hashedin 5.5 LPA, Tech Mahindra 3 LPA, CMS IT Services 2.8 LPA, AWS 10 LPA And many other companies visited us for 2016 batch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college has no concept of loans nut lucky may get scholarship to visit foreign universities. We can take educational loan from banks and are well and necessary documents must be produced. We can get all these documents through admin team.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is about 60:40 Male:Female. 12000 Students from 65 Countries. Its has students from all over India too. It has 4 Professional society including IEEE and CSI. 11 clubs,15 forums and NSS. Our college has stadium Basket ball court, Volley ball court, Kabaddi court/Ko-Ko court. For indoor we have badminton and Table tennis court.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are good. Its 3 sharing and has attached bathroom. One of the cleanest hostels I have ever seen. Food is good may not be best. Non veg once on Saturday. Two common TV and will be off during exams. Must be inside hostel within 7 o clock. We get a cupboard and cot. Wifi speed is upto 10 Mbps but torrent, facebook and many other sites are blocked. Inspection is common across floors. Hostel fees is around 1.2L per year which is usually very costly compared to other college hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni meet happens every year during March and every old student gets invited. College believes in networking is one of the most important of all. Many seminars and workshops are handled by alumni. It has helped many to get jobs and to get to know more about other opportunities available once we graduate.

Exam Structure

Each semester has usually 6 theory paper and 2 lab, Exam is divided into two Internals , Externals. For theory one has to attend 3 internals and average of best two internals will be taken. For lab 2 internals and average will be taken. Its for 25 marks. One has to get 13 marks in lab internal to qualify to give lab external in that subject.

Faculty

4

We had a blend of experienced and freshly joined faculties. Some faculties have PhD and some have masters They may not be the best faculties in town but were giving there best to help us. They had good knowledge over concepts they educated us. Some were extra ordinary and some were good enough. What ever the problem it was easy for us to approach them for solution.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
