I got this college on the basis of AIEEE which is known as JEE mains as of now. I got a score of 132/360. I opted this college as I was not getting my branch at NIT Raipur.
Course Curriculum Overview
As far as electrical engineering curriculum is concerned it was pretty good. The research solely depends upon the interest of the student. As far as electrical engineering curriculum is concerned it covers all the important topic is a well managed way.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, there are companies coming for the internship in the college but don't expect any large company or MNC coming for the internship. There is no stipend provided by the companies for the internship.
Placement Experience
I think the data is pretty much available on the website. The placements of the school of petroleum engineering(SPT) is very good. You have to work hard if you are in SPT means you have to get good CGPA in order to grab a 10 lpa+ job. In case of SOT it is average.
College Events
There are 3 major events that are celebrated in the college and a separate event for the management students. The main cultural event is Flare in which various cultural events are organised like music drama and art. In sports it is petro cup which have the games like football, Basketball, volleyball, cricket, tennis and athletic events along with chess , table tennis and carom.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee at my time was some what feasible as it cost 8 lakhs around to complete my B.tech but as of not the per semester fees is some what near to 95,000₹ and that's only tuition fees. The hostel fees is 65,000 per annum and mess fees will be somewhat 38,000₹. So as of now it is costly.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no such scholarship facility available for the general category students but there are scholarship facility available for SC and ST category students.
Campus Life
The campus life is pretty much great. You can enjoy your college life and I bet that you will miss it the day when you step out of the college. The basketball court is awesome and the college basketball team is one of the best which I must say. There are pretty costly labs that are very good.
Exam Structure
There will be 2 exams per semester. Mid SEM exam and end SEM exam. The lab exam will be conducted along with the end SEM exam. The college timings will be from 9-6 . It solely depends upon the semester whether it is chilled or not. Like it will be hectic in 3rd year.
Admission
I applied for the college separately in its website. First you have to fill the application form which will be available at college website. Fill all the details and pay the application fee. Then if you are shortlisted then you will be called for the counselling round. There will be multiple rounds on which you will get a option to list down your preferable branches.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are new to the teaching field. Some are really good faculties but some are not. Many faculties have deep knowledge in their subjects but they are unable to teach that to students. I am speaking this with respect to the electrical engineering department. As far as I know the faculties of petroleum engineering are very good as some of them are very esteemed in their field .
