Remarks

The admission process is very simple. You just need to go to the official website of Gulzar Group of Institutes and there everything is mentioned you just need to choose your program in which you want to get the admission and after it, you can contact to the counselor through call or what's app message or you can also visit the college campus for more information. You can also take a college tour before getting admission to any specific program. In Gulzar Group of Institutes you can apply for any program you are interested in like:- 1. B.tech degree (branch depends upon you cuz every branch is available)also there is specializations option too. 2. B.com 3. B.sc 4. MSc 5. UG diploma 6. After 10th diploma 7. BCA 8. MBA 9. BBA 10. M.com -There are also scholarship exam options that you can fill and get a scholarship in fees. -According to me, I don't think there are any criteria for any program you just need to be passed out either 10th or 12th according to which course you are applying for.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I am interested in computers and software since my childhood and I want to become a Software Engineer that's why I chose the Btech course. In our college faculty members are well educated and supportive but the main cons of the college is it reminds you always to clear the fee each time of the exam and tells that without clearing fee you will be detained from exam this is very irritating otherwise everything is fine. In our college teachers are well educated and HOD's are Ph.D. qualified some of the Hod qualified Ph.D. this year but can now say that all HOD's are Ph.D. qualified. The terms exam always happens after three months of the semester starting but it also depends upon the university.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship depends on students in which company they are applying for also in college companies come and students get selected in internships with stipend it depends that you selected the company or company selected you I mean if you want to get an internship in any particular company then give their particular exam and if you got selected in it you will get stipend too but if you didn't get selected then you can get the paid internship if available as I know in most of the cases it always available otherwise you can also try online on Internshala or other alternatives like Internshala for internships and placements too. The higher the projects you made and the knowledge you have the higher are the chances that you got selected in your dream companies for the internship and if you do the job well and good you can also get the PPO ( pre-placement offers) then you can join the company just after internship you don't need to give any further exam to get placed in that company.

Placement Experience

4

Here the placements are fine but it also depends on students too as you can start internship from 2nd year but there is attendance issue for that you need to contact to your respective HOD's. The placements start from I think the 6th sem I am not sure but maybe or 7th but many good companies come to campus but students can also apply off campus companies too. Some company's names are listed as I know:- Amazon,Paytm,Godrej, Tech Mahindra, HCl, Wipro, etc. I am not sure about the highest and lowest package but I think the Highest package is 4 to 5 lakh . The overall percentage of students getting placed is 80% to 85% according to me. My plan is too first get the internship till 4th to 5th sem and then will sit in placements or apply for off campus if didn't got satisfied with the companies that came after I will get the job and for few years will do the job until I get I want and then I will plan about something as I want to get.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here the fee structure is very relevant to other colleges. By the way, I want to mention that the fee structure of every course may vary but it also varies on counselors too. As in my case. I am pursuing my BTech and the fee structure is 1 lakh per annum including hostel food etc and I think it's quite low than other collages the course fee is 30000 per sem and hostel fee is 17500 per sem with two-seater room with attached bathroom..and I must say it quite good except the wifi connection range cuz it's quite irritating but it's awesome overall. There is also scholarship test options for those who want scholarship they can give test for the scholarship by contacting to the respective teachers or counselor or the contact number given on the website. The placements of the college are also well and good but it also depends upon students that how prepared they are cause many times good companies come but they are unable to find the students they want and may time off campus placement are taken by student.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very nice here because our hostel is also in the campus so it's very nice that we don't need to travel much just wake up get ready and you can go to collage within 3 min. Here time to time there is also happens annual fest and tech fest like robomania, fresher party for freshers, hostel night and there were literally 2 days in a week's there is 2 to 3 seminars happen. There are also extracurricular activities happens to like sports, dances, Drama and also several activities in which you can participate there is also clubs and groups in which you can join like technology, hacking and other clubs made and run by students there is also a club or can be said government group named IIC you can also join it too.

Hostel Facilities

4

Here there are many options in a hostel like it's your choice in how many seater rooms you want to live (Note:- fee increase as you choose the room) there are options like 1 seater,2 seaters, and 4 seaters. Rooms are well n good and if you got any problems you can contact to warden he will solve the problem the cons in a hostel is the wifi internet range is too low because there is on router between 6 rooms that's why but if you want additional router you need to submit an application regarding it and you can get it.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
