Remarks

I Scored 91%ile in jee mains 2017 so I had to take admission in this college. I took admission through Ojee Counseling. For the Counseling process, I took suggestions from one of my teachers. I recommend everybody to take advice from a well known person before opting for counselling. Since I belong to the general category so I took the IT department.

I wanted to take CSE but since I scored less in jee mains I had to take IT.IT is also as good as CSE. Everything depends on your own effort. If you work hard and get a good CGPA(above8)you will definitely get placed in a very good company. Talking about the faculties they were excellent. I am not saying they were exceptional but they are well trained. They try to motivate us and get ahead in our life. As you know my college had 8 semesters. The semester exams were not too hard if you study well.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

From the seventh semester, students are eligible for placements.Many companies like Deloitte,TCS, Infosys,Google, Microsoft,Paytm etc. Came for palcements. Around 87% students got placed.I did not sit for placements because i want to opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is a Government Funded Technical Institute so the fees were not too high. I would call it one of the most affordable Engineering colleges. Since I did not get any scholarship I can't tell you much about it. You can check it On the official website. Talking about the placement, I did not sit for placements cause I want to qualify for GATE.

Campus Life

There were many fests in our college. The annual fest is the most exciting thing. There is a library in our college with a good number of books in it. Many foreign journals are also available. Many youth clubs organise many fests and extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room was not that good. You have to share your room with 3 people. So it is quite hard to adjust in the starting days. But once you make friends you will live the best days of your life. Trust Me you will enjoy it. The hostels were provided on the basis of a merit list.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG visited and about 7 to 8 lakh rupees package they are giving. Highest placement is 1.5 crore and the average package is 8 to 9 lakh rupees. About 70 percent students getting placed. I want to job in MICROSOFT.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains.
