Remarks
I scored 95 percentile in jee mains 2019 and my rank was approx 40k, as per my choice filling I was getting Gurukul Kangri University Haridwar and IIIT Bhopal, but after my UPSEE result I choose JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida, because of its prime location and I was getting the branch of my choice, which is ECE, so I went for it. I secured 7800 ranks and got ECE in the 3rd round and then came to campus for the admission procedure. The admission process was not too complex, you have to bring the required documents and fill some forms at the admission desk and then pay the fees to get your ID card and fee receipt.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since JSS is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, they follow the same curriculum as stated by the University. I choose ECE because it has opportunities in both the corporate and public sectors. Each classroom consists of approx 65-70 students. Most of the faculty in this college is pretty average, but some of the HODs are quite qualified. There is 2 semesters every year and every sem has 3 monthly tests known as CIAs, which accounts for the internal marks in the end sem exams.
Internships Opportunities
There aren't many internship opportunities available on campus, but you apply for internships off campus near the college area. There are many firms that hire interns. The most important factor is the college location which provides many opportunities for the aspirants.
Placement Experience
I'm currently in my 3rd year of the course and there is a training and placement cell in the college that provides placement opportunities to the students. Companies like Amazon India, Infosys, Wipro, Samsung, Capgemini, Torrent power, Kronos, Byjus and many other companies provide opportunities to the students. The highest package offered was around 34 lacs by Amazon India followed by Kronos 15-16 lacs. Mostly software firm provides a good opportunity for students. I also plan to get placed in the above software firms.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is quite average as compared to other engineering colleges. The average fees per year are 1.5lakhs excluding hostel and mess facilities. There isn't any scholarship for OBC/SC/ST category but you can apply for scholarships on the basis of your UPSEE rank and there is a scholarship for EWS children.
Campus Life
The campus is well maintained 28 acres with a big field at the entrance of the main gate. Campus Life is nice, not too good and not too bad. The area around the college is a corporate sector so it is well maintained and clean and you can go around for a walk or for tea with your friends. There is an annual fest in the month of March, known as Zealicon. This is the only fest happening in this college and it's a 3-4 days fest with a lot of things happening around the campus. The college library is a well maintained library which provides you with all your course related books and there is a proper seating arrangement for self studies. Classrooms are quite spacious with a strength of approx 70 students. There are several clubs/societies for extracurricular activities. Like coding clubs, technical clubs, robotic clubs and dramatic and literary clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is well built in a big area, with 7 floors, it also has lift service available till late night. The mess food is pretty average like other Colleges. The rooms are 3 seats and there are dormitories also. The rooms have cupboards and tables attached to the wall. There are common toilets on every floor on both ends of the floor.
