Remarks

This college was one of 4 government engineering college in Punjab. It was very famous for mechanical engineering. Location was near my hometown. Placement offers at that time was also good. Main reason was it's academic autonomous. Now it becomes Sardar Beant Singh State University Gurdaspur.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are supportive as well as educated. Approximately all were PHD. All laboratories are equipped with latest technology and equipment. Main Central workshop having 9 shop's. Central library having reading hall and book bank.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 360000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placements are less than average. Highest package was approximately 5 lac for Amazon. Only few students get placement. Mechanical and civil branch haven't such opportunities . Computer science and IT students are lucky in this case.

Fee Structure And Facilities

No fees required for sc/st low income candidates. No relaxation for general category. Fees can't be submitted in installments. No extra charges are taken by college by name of fine. More than 200 hundred employees are available. Canteen facility also available.

Campus Life

Having green vast area is plus point. Social life is enjoyable. Many clubs and societies are there for social and technical growth. All clubs are authorised by the college administration. They are responsible for organizing all functions in the campus.

Good campus life with decent academics

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent.Many companies visit the campus,but getting a good package depends on your skills and performance.Teh university also provides training support. Some companies like Deloitte,nexity consulting,Bigbasket,zepto etc visited are campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculumn of chandigarh university is releavant and covers core subjects with projects and labs. It support basic industry readiness, but pratical exposure can improve. Exam are held mid and the end semester with modern difficulty. More hands on experience and updated technoilogies would enhance overall effectiviness and career prepartions.

Average placements for the college. As for the good stduents and competitive students companies r coming and they get internships and jobs . Companies like Deloitte, Adobe , Playsimple. Scalar AI labs , LG etc .Good Stsrtup and well knowed companies gave placements .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives
