IIM Kozhikode Review

I choose IIM K over other colleges because of the location that has such a scenic environment, it is one of the oldest colleges and convenient for me to travel, the student-faculty ratio, and its partnership with international institutes.

The course curriculum is trimester based where three semesters will be there instead of two just like the other IIMs where you get several cases and projects that you need to prepare for it submit. And faculties are pretty much experienced and cooperative. They always try their best to clear the doubts.

The placement process and salary offers are pretty much same as the last year. the avg. CTC was INR 23 lakhs per annum, and the median salary was INR 23.8 LPA. The major companies that visited were Indigo Airlines, Asian Paints, Mahindra Group, TCS, etc.

The fee structure for the PGP course in 2 years is INR 21 lakhs including academic and hostel fees. IIM K does offer scholarships to merit students and to those students whose family income is less than 1 lakh.

We do participate in several activities that are happening on the college campus. We have different committees, clubs, and interest groups. We have several clubs like operation, marketing, social clubs, etc.

Hostel facilities are pretty much good. There are single and double occupant rooms with AC and Non AC facilities. We have wifi, a washing machine and a good canteen that opens even in night time as students studying.

There is no GD process instead there is a VAT test for 15 - 20 minutes to complete. My topic in the VAT test was about universal basic income, luckily I had knowledge about that but they check your perspective there. My interview slot was at morning 8 o'clock. They asked mostly about academics and general knowledge. I used to read editorials and newspapers to improve my speaking writing skills for the interview. Basically, they are examining that how much exposure you have to society during the process.
