Remarks

Took admission to BBA LLB Programme on basis of IPU CET. I applied to no other colleges as VIPS was my main preference. The other college available to me were USLLS, Dwarka among others. The admission process was normal and it included document verification as well as filling the course fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is excellent and very accomodating. They have rich knowledge and experience with them and use the same while teaching the students. Most of the faculty held Masters and were pursuing PhD alongside it. Senior professors had PhDs in their fields. The exams were bi-annual in form of two semesters per year.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 87500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are provided and informed by the Placement Cell. They range from Legal Interns for firms or advocates in High Court or Supreme Court to legal content writing internships. Research Internships are also provided.

Placement Experience

The Campus Placements are available at the end of the course, that is, during the 10th semester when advocates and firms come to recruit. The placement committee works diligently to ensure that most of the people who apply for placement, get placed. It also provides with Internship opportunities to the younger students. The Placement Cell is very active.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee is average when compared to the infrastructure and facilities provided by the college but since it is a private institution, it is higher compared to government colleges. Still in the affordable range.

Campus Life

Spandan is the cultural fest of VIPS. It is conducted annually. Other than that the fest in IP Main Campus is also there. The books and journals in the library are ample and available for all the subjects. The campus is fully air conditioned, the classrooms are under CCTV surveillance and good quality of seating is available. Various clubs are available to join such as mooting society, dancing society, music society etc.

Delhi University bringing a diverse opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

Placement Experience:

After 2 years of integrated courses, you can become eligible for a job. In law, there is no company, but if you have good communication skills, you will be placed in one of the high courts or supreme courts under a senior lawyer. I don't know much about packages. My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.

Get set start with brief info about VIPS.

I applied for Delhi Universities and IP Universities. The first criteria to get into DU is based on merit but also you have the second option ie. by giving the the-Jat exam. Though the cut-off yet goes high for general category students. So I ended up getting into the topmost colleges of IP universities in my course. IP has an entrance exam for every student and the maximum % of admission depends on the Rank you get in the CET. For my course, it is mandatory to have Maths and English in your 12th. The l the rank results higher the chance you to get admitted. The process has 3 rounds after the results. Post getting the results you set your college preferences and according to your rank, you are allotted one. If you are satisfied with the college you can get yourself enrolled but if not you can wait for the second round which goes the same way. But even if you are yet not satisfied you can wait for the spot round ie. if someone leaves that spot. The entire admission process in IP is systematic....Read More
