Amazing Experience at BITS - Goa

I applied to IITs, NITs and BITS - Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad. But the interactions with many seniors helped me to take a decision to join BITS. The admission criteria to join BITS is a minimum of 75% marks in PCM and to appear for BITSAT exam which is 450 marks. State toppers have the benefit of getting direct admissions into BITS irrespective of their score in BITSAT. Then after, there are preferences of the branches to be filled on the BITS portal after which there will be 4-5 inductions. On the basis of your marks and preferences filled in the portal and the cutoff marks of the particular branch, you will be alloted a branch.And you can freeze your campus in the 4th round or you may opt for float option where you may have a chance to get a branch above your present branch.

B.E. Mechanical from BITS - Goa was a good choice for me. The professors here have great knowledge about their specific field. We had around 125 students for the mechanical branch. The branch had a total of around 15-20 faculty members. There are surprising quizzes, midterm and final comprehensive exams.

BITS - Goa provides the opportunity of providing 3 internships namely Practice School 1, Summer Internships, and Practice School 2, where students can get Pre Placement Offers from Practice School 2 and summer internships.

Placements at BITS - Goa is above 90%. They have many companies visiting the campus all over the year. The highest package was around 43LPA. The average package lies around 12-14 LPA. The placement scenario at BITS - Goa are great.

The fees were like around 400000/- year, which also contains the mess fees, hostel fees, and miscellaneous fees. There is an availability of scholarships (merit-based and merit & need-based). For the scholarship, one needs to provide income certificates for their family members.

BITS - Goa is an amazing college to be in. We have many technical clubs and departments where one can explore their skills and interests. The infrastructure is great to study. We have 3 amazing fests in a year.

The hostel facility at BITS - Goa is great. The hostels are very clean and are cleaned every day. The hostels have a common room where there is a TV, table tennis board and can enjoy during any matches. The mess here was very hygenic and provided great meals.
