MSU- Best and Affordable

I did my Bachelors' of Science in Geography form MSU itself. I was always inclined towards teaching, so I decided to pursue B.Ed. My prior with the college was great so decided to do my B.Ed from here itself. Admission process Include online registration through the college website. The Online registration fees is Rs. 300/- . Other eligibility requirements were Bachelors or Masters degree in Science/social science/humanities/commerce or Bachelor of Technology with specialization in Mathematics and science with 55%. English studied as one of the subject in Higher secondary/college or university level education. There isn't any entrance test for admission. Merit based admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. One of the best aspects of the college was fees affordability.

The overall syllabus of B.Ed included subjects such as Human development and learning, learning across curriculum, Understanding discipline and subject, pedagogy of school subject ,Knowledge and curriculum I,II ,Gender school, society, yoga education, drama and art in education ,etc. A total of 90 credits has to be completed with 16 credits for School internship included and other subjects of 3/4 credits each. Marks were distributed in Mid term, End term, practical and viva . A Detailed description is given on the portal in pdf form.Examination fees is Rs 1725/- . faculties are very co-operative.

Placements are okay. The highest package offered till date is 10LPA. The average package is 5LPA. Many tops companies visit the college for recruitment like Dabur India ltd, TATA Motors, Reliance Industries. I joined a private school as a teacher.

Fees is very affordable. Rs 10,200/- was the total fee I paid for the two year B. Ed course. For Boys the two year fees is Rs15,200/- Also hostel fee was affordable. There was no fee hike policy as per my knowledge for my course.

According to me it has the best library more 8 lakh books are available. the library is known as Smt. Hansa Mehta library. E-Library consisting of 40 thousand plus e-journals. E- library's E-journals are on E-Shodhsindhu. Students can register for E-library. Internet surfing facility named SURFLAND is available at the computer center in the campus. N.C.C and N.S.S activities are actively carried out. Paramarsh and Footprints are the annual cultural and technical fests. Other events like garba nights during navratri and kite competition on makarsankranti are also very nice. I had the best experience due to these events.

Hostel was very affordable. I just had to pay Rs 6000/- per annum. Facilities such as bed, chair table, cupboard are provided in each room. Hot water facility available during winters. There are 12 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel. Meals are included, private tiffin services are not allowed. Every hostel has a common hall, a dining hall and mike system for announcements.
