Remarks

I applied to Universal college of engineering in Vasai, The admission was on the basis of Gujarati minority quota and it was also based on a percentage received in the previous exam and the admission was online cap round, and offline also.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose civil engineering which has a very great demand and opportunities in the future, the faculty of this college is amazing and very informative they taught practically and theoretically. And the exam was in 2 types of sections winter and summer

From the end of the last sem, the placement starts and many companies like godrej and byjus, etc come for placement and the placement selection depends upon percentage and knowledge of student and currently am studying masters in construction engineering and management after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

At my time the fee was 1,27,000 and you can pay in 3-5 installments also and you can also opt for scholarships like EBC as well as minority also. There is also a great opportunity for placement for other streams like IT and computer

In universal college of engineering they celebrate various festivals like TANTROTSAV and many more with amazing technical quiz and more and they also run students counseling which handle quizzes and competitions in college

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. I chose this college because of the course - AiMl. Not much colleges were offering this branch and also this college had a lower bracket of percentile too.
