Remarks

This was the 3rd college I had applied for after PES and New horizon, but I got presidency in the first round. The reason for choosing this college is that the infrastructure is fantastic, the lab facilities are tremendous also the faculty were highly trained(going through their bio data). There is no min marks for this the only criteria you have to pass is that you have to get a rank below 1 lakh . The admission was very easy.I went on the time slot given by CET to the college and they lead me to a room where I had to fill some forms and attach my files, That's all the process was over in 30 min. They explained about the college and the fee structure after.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason i choose this course is my passion and interest in the electrical field and also keeping in mind the future of automobiles and my interest in the automobile feild. There are nearly 400-500 faculty members for a population of 3000 students. The methods chosen for teaching is common over each and every faculty, the use real-time examples and solve them using our syllabus. All the faculty members have a master's as a minimum. We have a total of 2 internals, 1 mid-term, and the end-term exam for each sem. The tests are easy is we understand the topics as the questions are never direct.

Internships Opportunities

4

The interiors were not offered to us due to covid but the information from the seniors was that students get core company internships. For electrical they have internships in a generator production factory in 2018. If one does not want to do an internship he can opt for a University project where he has to make his own project, but we all know that the students are going to buy the project from somewhere and submit it, so I would recommend one to take up an internship itself.

Placement Experience

2

The placements is an advantage only for the students who want to get into the IT sector as most of the companies which come are software companies, there are rarely any core companies which come for recruiting. The placements start in the 7 th sem. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and other IT companies are main companies which come for the placement. There were 356 students who got placed last year out of 600 students. The average package is 3.6 lpa and the highest package was 15 lpa for a marketing job which one student for last year.

Fees and Financial Aid

If one's gets through CET one had to pay 82 thousand approximate and there is no change in the fee structure for all the 4 years. But if one's gets on through management the fee differs for each course, for electrical it is 1.5-2 lakhs per year and the fee does not change. I am not eligible for any scholarships but if one has all documents they can get the scholarship. I am in my final year now and I am really not sure if I can get a core job as no core companies are coming for the placement drive.

Campus Life

4.5

The Meraki is the name of the cultural fest organised by presidency University, this great is a very big fest and they invite celebrities for example Neha Kakkar, Amman malik,Arijit Singh, Prakash Raj, Nidhi Aggarwal, the Jordindians and many more. There is a library where one can find all the books related to engineering. There is wifi, projector setup and speakers in the class room. All kinds of sports are encouraged in the campus and is there is a proper team the University will consider putting up whatever is required for the team to practice the sport and also lets one participate in competitions all over India. They also have the ncc and nss cells. There are a wide numbers of clubs in the University where one can go and take part in the club.

The institute records an impressive average package of ~INR 7.20 LPA and the highest packages reaching up to INR 53.50 LPA. The college actively drives employability through a dedicated 'Talent Transformation Hub'. Campus Placements Overview CIT is known for its solid industry connections, resulting in 80–90% placement rates annually. Top Recruiters: Companies like Accenture, Infosys, HP, Amazon, and Samsung. The Process: The placement cell conducts specialized skill-building boot camps and provides structured mentorship to ensure students are corporate-ready by graduation. If Placements Fall Short: Employability & Alternative Plans Even though CIT consistently places the vast majority of its batch, students who do not secure on-campus job offers (or wish to pursue other paths) have robust support through: Startup & Entrepreneurial Initiatives: CIT has an active E-Cell and a business connection to help budding founders. The Talent Transformation Hub focuses on practical knowledge needed to start a business. Higher Education: Students frequently leverage the college's alumni network and faculty mentorship to prepare for competitive exams like GATE, or to apply for Master's programs (MS, M.Tech) in India or abroad. Off-Campus Drives & Internships: Students are encouraged to undertake industry internships and live projects to build their portfolios, making it easier to land off-campus roles at top tech companies.
