Remarks

I have applied for some of the colleges like GIBS, ISB, ISBR, and IFIM. I have joined IFIM due to its reputation, ranking, placement opportunities, programs they have offered, Faculty with industrial experience. The admission criteria for the selection procedure is the student should have a minimum of 60% in his UG, 10th, and 12th. I having experience would be an advantage. There are no specific age criteria they were concerned with. The college conducts some internal scholarship tests where the student can avail of some scholarships based on his performance. Coming to the admission process, we had an entrance test that involves essay writing and group discussion. Later, it follows up with an interview. After few days, we will get the offer letter if selected.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have a desire to work in the field of marketing with the connectivity of technology. This is where it provides a view over digital marketing that helps me to know about the marketing aspects like Consumers behavior, sales procedure, market research where it provides more view about the buyers as well as the sellers. usually, for every faculty, there will be 21 students tagged on an average. Some of the reputed professors will be doing it remotely from the other universities. Most of them were PhD holders with good industry-level experiences. The teaching method followed here is basically learning, understanding, and working on real-time case studies that help in dealing with industrial-level problems. The marks breakup will be 20% mid-term, 20% quiz, 20% Presentation, 40% External exams. It just requires an understanding of the concepts and following a structure which makes it easy to pass the examination.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many mini-level interviews just to get experience. Later, we will have a major internship that holds weightage, grading for the person to get placed. Sales especially B2B is the project that students were going to deal with in their internships. It also involves digital marketing, branding as well to deal with.

Placement Experience

4.5

The student should need to complete some mandatory things to become eligible for the placements. CGPA of 6.5, completion of Core subjects without F grade, No F grade in final Internship, etc. Last time, we have almost 100+ companies who have visited our campus and some of the big companies involve Nestle, P &G, Bosch, Aditya Birla, DXC, FedEx, etc with 100% placement records. The highest package is 16 lakh, average package holds 10.21 lakh. My plan is to get experience in large companies, learning & growing, plans for starting a startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of studying here depends on the type of course we choose. For me, it cost almost 12 lakh for a complete PGDM Marketing course. If the student chooses PGDM International Business, it will cost him around 16 lakh because they will be dealing with the foreign universities for a term that is of greater advantage to the students. There is no specific name of the scholarship as it is conducted internally. Centre for Development Education is the finance team. I am still on my education and have time for the placements to take part in. There is a mandatory Internship as well which carries a major score and preference for the Placement process.

Campus Life

4.5

We have college day celebrations which have some cultural performances, speeches given by our professors, followed by convocation for the previous batch and food arrangements as well. It is usually conducted in the month of March and April. We have a vast availability of library which includes management books as well as technical books as well. It also has many journals. E-Library is the new elaboration where aq student can avail the opportunity of reading it virtually. Every classroom is Air-conditioned and spacious. We do have projectors where the faculty can visually show some cases and other media for the students to understand. Coming to the sports, we have committees where the sports committee holds different sports competitions along with the outdoor games like cricket, volleyball, football, handball, etc and the college does have a ground for the sports. We have regular PE sessions which involve jogging, running, exercises and yoga as well. We have many clubs like Innovation.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.
