Remarks

Minimum marks are around 45-50 percent. There is no age limit as such, there are people graduating in their 24th year too. College is very flexible when it comes to age. The admission process was both online and offline. We had to register through their portal and interviews were conducted on the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I wanted to pursue psychology. And the department is excellent. It doesn't just stick to the syllabus but lets us explore with constant guidance from the lecturers. Faculty members are all pg graduates and hods and most of the senior professors have PhD in their respective streams. We have two internals and one external per semester, internals is of 50 marks each, and external is out of 100. Though the exams are tough, it's easier to understand the concepts as the faculty is friendly and helpful.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Being a student in journalism, we got internships in the newspaper companies like udayavani, Times of India, etc. In psychology, we had options to help out schools and observe the behavior of the children in our 4th sem. (child psychology)

Placement Experience

3

Students of the 5th and 6th semesters are eligible for campus selection. Packages upto 4.5 lakhs per annum. 70% is a necessity to get placed in well established companies with good package. I'm planning on continuing in the same institution for my higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of scholarships, which used to be announced every now and then. You can also keep updating yourself by checking the notice boards. There are special scholarships for economically weak students. There is also a scholarship for scheduled classes.

Campus Life

5

There are a number of fests and every department has its own fest. National-level fests and state-level fests are conducted every year. Around February there is the major college fest, with each branch having its own fest names and multiple competitions. This fest goes on for 3 days. Sports day is celebrated on the campus. The musical evening, college day, Hindi divas, prerana (Hindi state competition) and many more small events take place on the campus. Flashmobs are performed by the students for the promotion of these fests. There are compulsory associations that help the students groom their skills. There are 2 libraries and one of them is one of the largest libraries in Karnataka.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.
