Remarks

The minimum mark is 60% and the age limit is 18 or 19. I got direct admission only. I have applied only for this college as it was fine for my budget. There was no counseling, just direct admission based on our marks in the 11th and in the 12th standard.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course as I am very good and fond of English and also my ambition is to become a teacher. Our Teachers explain concepts in a very excellent way so that it is easier for us to understand. Weekly exams are conducted which was very much helpful in scoring marks in the semester.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like KPMG, JP morgan, etc are the recruiters and they provided internships for students with a good stipend also. Our teachers encourage us personally about internships outside the college. Since I am in my 3rd semester I haven't got any internships.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many financial assistance and scholarships provided for all the students. As of now, I am in my 4th semester I haven't got any job or internship. I paid 30000 for my first-year fees which is really a fine budget fee.

There are 300+ books are available in our college. We have many sports and extracurricular activities happening every week. Sports like Football, Volleyball, etc are available. Classroom amenities are good.

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures.
