I had applied to all the IIMs and got admits from vizag, Amritsar, sirmaur. I chose IIM Vizag over the rest because firstly they were mentored by IIM Bangalore and secondly due to the location advantage as it is situated nearby most of the metro cities (placement benefit). An undergraduate degree or a final year pursuing an undergraduate with a valid CAT score is a minimum admission criterion. A minimum of 80 percentile is required for a general category student to get a call for stage 1.

I chose this course firstly for their case study teaching just like IIM B and great business exposure. There are highly qualified faculties with PHDs who are very easy to approach. There are mid-terms, quizzes, assignments,s, and end-term every trimester.

The college provides various internships for the students. Live projects and certification courses are also floated around for profile building. The highest stipend was 2 lakhs and there was 100% placement in an internship as well.

IIM V achieved 100% placement in the pandemic year. The highest package stood around 20.62 lpa . The average package was around 12.62 lpa. The median package was 12 lpa. Some of the recruiters were amazon, ICICI lombard, TATA AIA, Deloitte, Amul etc.

The fee structure for two years is 16 lakhs inclusive of hostel and mess charges. There are many scholarships which the institute encourages to apply are those belonging ro sc, st and pwd. The college provides financial assistance for economically weak sections.

Life at IIM V is filled with a lot of opportunities. The annual cultural fest of IIM V is the samaarambh. The classrooms are equipped with the latest technology. The library is very vast with 2000+ books, 12000+ e-books, 4766+ e-journals, 40 print magazine journals, and more than 10 tools on e-library. There are nearly 15 clubs and committees for varied interests like mathan (hr) club, ANK ( it) club, ARTQUAKE (cultural) club, consulting club, product management club, finance & economics club, etc. IIM V has also started a Podcast.

Though the course is online now, the facilities that would be provided once the course goes offline are Fully equipped twin-sharing hostel rooms with great quality food. All facilities from TV, fridge, indoor games are available in the hostel.
