Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It's a 4yrs b.tech program so...its good to join as Computer science & Engineering. The faculties were really helpful n cooperative. Some of them are highly qualified like from NITs n IITs.. specially fir computer science faculties.. In our branch more than 25 faculties are there including H.O.D. Their teaching style is quite good...n some of fresher faculty were there aa well. Specially they helpful in LABs n practical.. Its lil bit tought to qualify.. as its under B.P.U.T..so u have give ur 100% & all ur dedication n hard work..Though ut ll be easy to qualify for semesters exam.. Course is li bit vast as compared to other program..so one can have to work hard n study well.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We didn't took any internship at our time. But branch like CIVIL MECHANICAL & EE are having internship now a days. Got Java n Oracle projects. Was having Oracle project at 4th sem..n Java projects at final year. It was lreally helped me for upcoming campus n placements

Placement Experience

3.5

Company like VEDANTA , JK paper mill.Infosys Capgemini, indian army ,Simplex solution PRADAN.etc etc VEDANTA was offering higher package of 4.6lacs dat time followed by Infosys, capgemini. Almost 60% student get placed every year. I've joined as software engineer at simplex solution.. After 1yr of experience..I switched to TCS. Overall in campus placements in good for CSE, IT ,ECE & MCA students

Fees and Financial Aid

Course fees was lil bit low as compared to other Engineering...that u really appreciated for. But hostel fees n mesh fee was lul bit high..as my person experience. Bus service also there for college students. Scholarship also available for special category n backward students. I've also got da scholarship of Rs.18300/- for 2nd yr 3rd yr n 4th yr respectively. Got an in-campus placement as well..the company name was capegeimini.

Campus Life

3.5

College conducts the tech fest called "ABHYUDAYA" annually that includes robotics fashion show tech show drama gaming etc etc. Availability of books in the library is good. Almost available all authors of our b.tech programme. And journal as well. There was an extra reference library as well. Si no shortage of book during exam . Pretty much numbers of newspapers as well like English hindi n ofcourse oriya. Sports facilities available like cricket, volleyball, basket ball, badminton court is there. So there is no issue with sports facility. And there was a Yoga n P.E.T teacher also tere at.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

As usual normal facilities n need. Like water purify..bed ..reading table n chair..dats all Meals quality is average..not so good...non veg given by all four days in a week. Registration process is as usual normal ..they r taking hostel n mesh fee of 1yr in advance. U gave to pay one 1yr of hostel & mesh fees before joining as in cash or check or DD. You can stay out side or in PG in 2nd yr or wards...price is lil bit higher nw as its b4... Locality also good with normal facilities. Some of localities are there where u can stay safe n comfortable like Indra nagar ,nehru begat, Gandhi nagar, RK nahar, Rohit Colony...etc

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Curriculum is like ok for an govt engineering college not like an iit/nit. There are many departments where equipments are very old & haven't changed for a long time. Exams are conducted very fast like mid sem is conducted in 1/1.5 months and end sem is in 2 months

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
