Remarks

If you look overall college is one the good colleges in odisha.Nit that much expensive.Only problem is it's bad placement performance. But I think it doesn't matter as your not going to stay in a campus placement job for long.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college is affiliated to BPUT University. So all course and exam are prescribed and conducted by BPUT.Btech course is good and competitive. It covers from basic to advanced level.Computer labs in this college is best in class.

Placement Experience

1

Placement opportunities are not that good.Campus placement was very bad.All the companies came for campus placement were not good.college doesn't provide internship.I think only 5% of students passed in 2012 got placement from campus.

College Events

5

college celebrates annual festival every year.Generally cultural festival were good. Some well know person came for performance.Inter college sports championship also conducted. In 2011 it conducted a national level robotics competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is almost same as any other college under BPUT if you come by marit list.If you came by management quota bit expensive. In general for Btech every year around 1lac including hostel fee.Scholarship is there for less fortunate students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes you can take loan for studying in this college. My friend took a loan from SBI.You can easily avail student loan from SBI as govt has guidelines about it.State government scholarships also available to students.

Campus Life

4

college computer labs are really good.Campus is fully covered with WiFi.Regularly robotics classes were conducted in college.Sports ground is there but not that good.Volleyball, basketball, badminton ground were in good condition.

Alumni/Alumna

college seniors are really helpful and now placed all over the world. One of my senior helped me a lot in choosing right career option after completing graduation. They guided us for competitive exams.

Admission

After successfully clearing intermediate exam you have apear state level entrance exam OJEE conducted by BPUT in odisha. Then according to your rank you can choose your college. You can join as lateral entry candidate also.

Faculty

4

Faculties are well educated as per requirement and good in nature.Helpfull towards students.Classes were very much engaging and informative.Faculties are well versed with course structure and exam pattern.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
