Remarks

The college was a star till 2012 but after 2012 it started falling.

Entrance Preview

I got admission into this college through AIEEE(management quota) with a rank of around 9lakh(approx) so I had to choose this college as it was also nearer to my hometown. I choose B.tech in Computer science and engineering because I had a weakness for computers and programming languages. Another reason for choosing this college was it had some of the best faculties at that time for computer science.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The year I joined this college it had best faculties but slowly the number of experienced faculties started decreasing as they were not paid well. And no there is no focus on any kind of research.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college doesn't provide any internships nor does it provide any campus placement drives.

Placement Experience

0.5

None was placed from any campus drives offered by college as all of them turned out to be fake.

College Events

4

Every type of event was celebrated in this college whether it may be a tech-fest or cultural one. The techno-management fest or Abhyudaya was celebrated for 3 days simultaneously which gradually decreased to 2 days with time. And all other cultural festivals were also celebrated well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible as it was nominal compared to other colleges of same repute. The complete fee for 1 year was around 55000 including registration fees and tuition fees and all other academic charges. Hostel and mess charge was 36000 for one year.

Campus Life

3

Sports club and robotics club had a good amount of participators with them. I used to play for the college as well as district basketball team at many state level events. Equally the football and cricket team was also good as those guys had played at many events.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel was equipped with all average amenities with 2 and 3 sharing rooms with attached bathrooms given to students to reside. The quality of food keeps fluctuating due to continuous change in mess ownership due to payment issues.

Alumni/Alumna

No, after leaving the college everyone gets on their way. Only a hand counted number of guys keep in touch within them.

Exam Structure

No, the time-table was well prepared by the faculties as there was required amount of breaks between labs, exams and classes.

Faculty

3.5

If it would have been 2014 then I would have given 5/5 to all the faculties of computer science but now there are no previous faculties in this college as each one of them has joined some technology companies. Now there might be new faculties in the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
