Entrance Preview

I didn't take any entrance exams and I got into this college based on my HSC scores. There was no interview, group discussion or any sort of entrance for the admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Doing a BBM course in Mumbai (at least) does not give us a lot of exposure, especially in colleges like this one. They hardly teach us subjects related to this course. It's a lot of history, economics, political science etc. which doesn't really help if you want to study advertising. The choice between advertising is given to you in the last year which I believe is wrong.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not help with a summer internship at all. It's not even compulsory here.

Placement Experience

0.5

They don't provide us with campus placements for this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I have no information whatever about the college providing loan facilities to its students. But there's one thing I know for sure. It does not offer any scholarship to any student for the course of BMM.

Campus Life

3

The gender ratio for BMM was close to 1:1, which I hear is very different from the colleges from Western Mumbai. The college has a lot of extracurricular activities, sports competitions like football, cricket, etc. They have also organised fashion shows for students and other competitions like nail art, mehndi, hairstyling etc. There's the usual saree day, traditional day etc.

Exam Structure

It's was very chilled out. No practical exams or anything. The professors use to give us a question bank of 50 something questions and all the questions in the exam were asked from that question bank. There were no practical exams. The internal marks were based on some assignments which were all theory based.

Admission

I had gone to the college to enquire about various courses. They gave us a brochure and answered all our questions regarding the course, syllabus etc. Then there was a queue for the admission form. After filling the form there was another queue for submission.

Faculty

2

The visiting faculty is good and experienced but they lack the passion to take the students ahead as they are not a permanent part of this college. And most of the teaching faculty is a visiting faculty. The permanent professors lack in expertise and some of them have no experience in the media field.

The BMM program is highly relevant for people looking for a career in Advertising, public relations, journalism, digital marketing etc. It offers a blend of theoretical knowledge along with practical exposure Having to make short films, and documentaries going with a full-blown Ad campaign, Creating a brand of your own and coming up with its entire marketing design, or running a digital campaign.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
