My B. Tech journey in CMR

I choose this college because it is very renowned for its education and campus facilities. I took the admission online and the procedure was very simple. I first registered myself in the college website and then verified my email id. Then I filled my application form where i had to fill details and documents like 12th Marksheet ( required minimum 45% in maths and physics as compulsory subjects along with the other subjects), transfer certificate etc. Then I payed the application fee (Rs 750) online and then submitted my application form. I basically considered YouTube, college duniya etc to acquire more details of the college.

I always wanted to be a software developer that's why I chose to do B.Tech in computer science and engineering. The course curriculum is well structured to bring the best out of the students. The faculty of the university is very cooperative and good. Most of them are PhD holders with great experience in teaching. Our exams are held on a timely and regular basis, and the exams are easy to pass.

I have not done any internship myself yet but one of my senior told me that he did an internship under Verizon for 3 months. He had to design, develop and implement software applications, and the likes. He earned a stripper of around 3000-4000 in total.

CMR is the best when it comes to placement of students. Students after their fifth semester are eligible for campus placement. Top companies visit the university like Amazon, Google, Urban Ladder, and the likes. The average package offered was 3,52,000 Lakh per annum, and the highest package offered was 8,00,000 Lakh per annum. I am also planning to get a good job through campus placement.

The total tution fees for the course is around Rs 7,00,000. There are many Scholarships provided by the university to its students like CMR Memorial scholarship, CMR Merit scholarship, CMR Sports scholarship etc.

The campus life is very good. The campus is well equipped with latest technology. We have a library that is within itself a whole world filled with knowledge. We have several fests in the college that are very interesting. The university gives equal importance to studies as well as the extracurricular activities of the students.

The hostel facilities provided by the university is good, it's worth the expense. There are rooms for sharing with 2 or 3 or owning a single room. The washroom is common but it is cleaned everyday. The food in the hostel mess is fine.

There were no interviews but yes the candidates had to undergo any one of these tests like AIEEE/ JEE/ CET/ COMED-K/ CMRUAT. I opted for the JEE test in which I scored 350 out of 400. This exam basically focuses on maths, physics and chemistry. It's true that it is one of the toughest exam, but hardwork and regular practice can makes it an easy task.
