Best place for engineering.

I was interested in pursuing computer science engineering and finally got a chance to get admission in one of India's best institutions. The student: faculty ratio is 11. Exam pattern- 2 quizzes per subject spanned across the semester and a midsem exam and an endsem exam.(may vary from course to course). The level of the exams is between moderate to difficult.

Apart from placements, IIT Bombay also offers winter and summer internships. Summer internships usually begin in May and continue till mid-July, whereas winter internships are pursued in the month of December.The interns are independently shortlisted by either one or a group of faculties. During their stay at IIT Bombay, students can apply for this internship after completing third year (six semesters) of BE/ BTech.

For B Tech students ,7thsemester onwards students become eligible for campus placements.For Dual Degree students ,9thsemester onwards students become eligible for campus placements.Amid COVID-19, IIT Bombay announced an overall 83% placements record and for its BTech, Dual degree and MTech batch having 91%, 94% and 83%, respectively. This institute started its campus recruitment for batch 2019-2021 from December 2020 via virtual mode. More than 1,218 students had received offers for employment in the first phase of the placements positions. The initial stage of position started on December 1, and went on till December 16.

I am currently in 2nd year hence, not yet got a placement.A large number of companies and univs come from all across the globe to hire students from IIT BOMBAY

The annual fest is named MOOD INDIGO & tech fest is conducted every year during the month of december or january. The library is highly stocked with books on all topics. It is a big and spacious library having a 24X7 reading hall. There are a lot of sport related opportunities in the campus. You name a sport, and it's there. In addition there are a lot of opportunities and events to explore the cultural, dramatical, musical, artistic , fashion , photographic personality of yours. There are a lot of groups where people get to interact with like minded people.

The room has the basic facilities, a bed, an almirah and a study table for each person living in the room. I had a room in double sharing. The food provided in the mess is hygenic and good and a varied number of items are served on different days and at different times in a day. Dishes from all across India are served.
